While 9-hole rounds are our usual format, we also organise occasional 18-hole competitions and weekends away. Our season runs from the first weekend in March through to mid-December. GBGC is a social and inclusive club with members of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and skill levels. While we enjoy friendly competition, our focus is on creating a supportive environment where everyone can enjoy the game. We use the Golf Australia handicapping system to help ensure fair and enjoyable competition for all members. To help maintain the pace of play on busy public courses, we ask that prospective members have at least an advanced beginner's understanding of golf and some on-course playing experience. This simply ensures all players can comfortably keep pace with groups ahead and enjoy the day’s play. Annual membership is $100, which includes club membership, Golf Australia affiliation fees (providing you with an official handicap), and eligibility for weekly competition prizes, including First Place, Nearest to the Pin, and Longest Drive. Green fees are additional and generally range from $30–$35 per round. If you're interested in joining, we encourage you to come along for a few games first to see whether our club is the right fit for you. Membership fees are not required until you decide to join.
