THAT’S. OUR. CAT. 💙🤍💙
Right now, Heath Mellody may not have the highest profile among WA’s crop of potential AFL draftees, but that could soon change.

💙 From Auskick to 100 Games 💙
That little Cat holding his Auskick trophy has grown into one of our club’s most respected players and we’re incredibly proud to celebrate Casey Eaton’s 100th game in Cats colours.
Casey has been part of the Wembley Downs family since his Auskick days and throughout every stage of his journey he’s quietly let his football do the talking. A remarkably skilful player, his consistency, composure and team-first attitude have made him one of the club’s most valued members.
His achievements speak for themselves - selection in the Claremont Development Squad, a premiership and 2025 Runner up fairest and Best in his team. Perhaps what says the most about Casey is what he does away from game day. Now in his third season as a youth coach, Casey continues to give back to the club that helped shape him, generously volunteering his time to mentor and inspire our next generation of Cats.

💯 100 Games for Heath and Lachie! 💯
Last weekend we celebrated a special milestone as Lachie McDougall and Heath Randall pulled on their jumpers for their 100th games against the Yanchep Tigers at Luketina Oval.
These two have been part of the Cats family since their Auskick days back in 2014, starting their football journeys together and growing into respected leaders, teammates and role models both on and off the field.
Over the years they’ve embodied everything our club stands for — commitment, teamwork, sportsmanship and community spirit. It’s been a privilege to watch them progress from eager Auskickers to 100 game players.
Congratulations, Lachie and Heath. The entire Cats community is incredibly proud of your journey and can’t wait to see what comes next.

This Friday night, we’re inviting all players, parents and club members down to the clubrooms to watch our girls play, enjoy a feed and support an important cause.
Our very own own Aussie Wyeth, alongside his best mate Isaac May, will be taking on an incredible 100km run along Perth’s coastline on July 17 to raise funds and awareness for youth mental health and
Footy clubs are built on mateship, support and looking after one another. This is a great opportunity to come together, raise awareness and remind everyone that it’s okay to speak up and ask for help when life gets tough.
Join us for a great night at the club and help us get behind Aussie and Isaac (mental_mayham) as they prepare for this amazing challenge. All proceeds from Friday night go to this important cause.

Coaches Night
Our Coaches Night was a fantastic opportunity to bring together coaches to share successes, strategies and tips to continue to build on our terrific club culture.
Former East Perth and Subiaco player Clint Johnson shared insights from his football and coaching journey, providing practical strategies for coaching players of different ages, abilities and genders.
Year 6 coaches Steve Hendry and Kasey Green highlighted the benefits of mixing players across teams to build friendships, strengthen club connections and expose players to different coaching styles. They also reflected on the success of the recent Year 6 Melbourne Trip and the lifelong memories it created.
Club President Brodie McDougall reinforced the club’s vision of Building Our Community, recognising the contribution of volunteers, coaches, umpires and sponsors while outlining the club’s continued growth and future direction.
Thank you to everyone who attended and continues to support our players and club community.
