💙 YEAR 7/8 WHITE – GRAND FINAL READY! 💙

Our Year 7/8 White team were treated to a very special dinner ahead of their big game this weekend, made even better by a VIP guest – Rachel Ortlepp from Claremont Football Club (Womens) 💥

As a THREE time premiership captain and having played in an incredible SEVEN grand finals, Rachel knows a thing or two about performing on the big stage. She shared some fantastic insights with the girls about embracing grand final week, backing themselves and their teammate and making the most of such a special opportunity.

A huge thank you to Rachel for giving her time and leaving our girls inspired, motivated and ready to go!

A huge presence both on and off the field, Kayden brings plenty of energy, personality and passion to everything he does. He plays his footy with heart, backs his teammates and certainly makes his presence felt whenever he takes the field.

100 games is a brilliant achievement and a testament to years of commitment to our great game 💙

Congratulations to our 2026 Year 6 Cheryl Aitken award winners Levi Skirving and Hunter Smyth. This prestigious award is extremely important to our club and is awarded to the player who demonstrates exemplary sportsmanship and represents our club values to the highest of standards.

An absolute tackling machine, Harry loves nothing more than a physical contest. He’s hard as nails, fiercely competitive and exactly the player you want beside you when the game gets tough. Off the field, Harry is fiercely loyal to his mates and the ultimate team man — always putting his friends and his team first.

There’s another reason we’re especially grateful to you, Harry. It’s not always easy when your dad is the coach. For so many years, you’ve had to share his time, support, love and enthusiasm with a whole team of kids who have relied on him since their Auskick days. You’ve done that with incredible generosity and we hope you know how much that has meant to your teammates and the entire Cats community.

The commander of the back line and the heartbeat of his team, Hugh is the player you can always rely on. Composed, courageous and incredibly consistent, he combines a never-say-die attitude with silky smooth skills and a phenomenal kick. As impressive as Hugh is on the field, it’s the way he carries himself that really sets him apart. He is a young man of exceptional character — composed, respectful, a natural leader and an absolute pleasure to coach. Hugh consistently embodies the values of the Cats with his work ethic, respect for others, leadership and sportsmanship making him the epitome of what it means to be a great teammate and a true sportsman.

Congratulations to Doug on reaching his 5️⃣0️⃣ game milestone! 💙🤍

A gentle giant off the field and fearless ruckman on it, we’ve been blown away this season by Doug’s increasing agility and development. Dominant in the ruck and incredible at clearing the ball, Doug’s marking has improved out of sight and when he unleashes that booming kick, it’s seriously impressive! More importantly, Doug is a fantastic kid and a very well liked member of the Cats community.
