Thinking Rewired assists individuals in mastering the mental game, taking their mindset to the next level, not just in netball, but the game of life. Right. Now.

Building connection throughout the netball community. Let the (mindset) game begin! 2017

The year I chose to invest in myself. I always felt like I pretty much had my life sorted. I had a good job, loving family, supportive boyfriend, travelled often, did hobbies I enjoyed and I had a pretty good handle on my nutrition and exercise - yet I still felt like something was missing. I felt like I shou

Day 9 of posting everyday.

Want to up-level your game? (Includes approved chats in the warm up) 🗣️

Partner up with your netty bestie or teammate you’ll be playing with on court and share your goals/ areas you want to focus on for the game.

Super simple way to get clear on your focus areas, have someone hold you accountable and can help you in the process.

Share this with someone you want to share your goals with 🎯

Great afternoon presenting to Netball Elite Training

Love hearing the responses from young athletes and how capable they are of making shifts in their mindset 🧠💪🏼

This was a snippet of the mindset toolbox 🧰 responses and thinking about tools they can draw on:
1. If their emotional state has changed {feeling nervous or disappointed etc}
2. In preparation for {a game or trials etc}

All you need is 10 minutes. Small reps. Big changes. 🧠💪🏼

And if you don’t know here to start. Download my FREE Think Like an Elite Athlete pdf that has three tips to get you started.

Comment ELITE and I’ll send you the link.

Sorry, but practicing more won’t help you.

I know because I was the athlete who practised my goals every single day.
I rarely missed... but the moment I stepped onto the court, I’d become a puddle.

That wasn’t a skill problem.
It was a mindset problem.

If you can perform when no one’s watching, but crumble the moment there’s pressure, expectations, or people watching...

It’s probably not your skills holding you back.

It’s your mindset.

The good news? Your mindset is something you can train too. 🧠💪🏼

Day 5 of posting ✔️

The hill I will die on...

❌We don’t do enough to support our young athletes to learn the basic mindset foundations to support their mindset
❌We don’t prioritise10 mins into sessions to proactively train our brain
❌We are usually reactive and often look to implement noce problems arise

Do you agree or disagree?

And why do you think we don’t?

4 (of many) unhinged thoughts I had when my anxiety was at its worst.
No.4 🙈🙈🤣🤣

1. I hope I get injured.
I had this thoughta lot and interestingly I never get injured.
I remeber in particualr whrn I was a live in athlete at the AIS, everyone was getting stress fractures and I was hopeful I would get one too (this is the time in my career when my performance anxiety was at it’s worst).

2. I hope we lose.
From a selfish point of view I just needed the season to end.
The anxiety of showing up every week and constant rumination of how I would play was all consuming.
This showed up a bit when I played in the UK - I was in a really bad place.

3. Maybe I could reinvent myself as a centre (the tallest one going around) 🤣
My anxiety stemmed only from my shooting. The rest of my game play was generally pretty good, so why not just take it out.
I did have some small stints at WA, but I just don’t think I’m sharp or nimble enough.

4. I wish they still performed lobotomies 🙈
I always thought that if I could just turn off my brain, then I would be an amazing player.
This seemed logical at the time haha

Can you relate? or Can you top these? I need to know!

Which can you relate to the most ? 🙈🤣

Day 3 of posting every day 🙌🏼

You can rewire your thoughts 🧠💪🏼
Whether it’s:
🧠💪🏼 Building confidence
🧠💪🏼 Challenging unhelpful thoughts
🧠💪🏼Focusing on what you can control 🧠💪🏼 Setting goals and pivoting when you need

It’s all possible if you’re prepared to do the work.

Comment workbook if you want to know how ❤️‍🔥

Day 2 of bringing awareness to the Netset: Elite pack. We are still sitting on 4/42. 38 to go 🔥

The three I sold yesterday was a repeat purchase. They originally bought one for their oldest daughter and decided they should get their other 3 daughters a pack each. If that’s not a compliment I don’t know what is ❤️‍🔥

Also side note. They practically have half a netball team and if they are putting in the mindset work, I’m not sure I would want to come up against them 🤣🧠💪🏼

Here’s the thing about confidence… it doesn’t just appear out of nowhere. If you’re waiting for it to arrive, sorry to say, but you’re going to be waiting a while 😬

Confidence comes from doing the opposite of what your brain is trying to tell you to do. Taking action is 🚀

Don’t shoot ➡️ Take the shot
Don’t have a crack at a fly ➡️ Go get it 😮‍💨
Give up ➡️ Go hard

Yes it may take a couple of goes and we may not get it right the first time, but by taking action we can start to build ourselves back up.
