🏁 2025/26 Season Review & Awards Night 🏁
What a season it has been. To put it simply, it was a year full of highs and lows, challenges, lessons, and plenty of determination from everyone involved.
Dylan #21
This season had us chasing our tails at times trying to find solutions to some ongoing car handling issues. Although the results didn’t always show the effort being put in behind the scenes, the second half of the season showed some very promising signs. We found more speed, became more competitive, and were consistently finishing towards the front half.
It has been a massive learning season and we will take plenty of positives and knowledge into next year.
Season results:
🏁 4th – Fast Friday Racing Series
🏁 7th – Opal Finance Motorplex Track Championship
🏁 8th – Roadline Civil West Coast Series
🏁 Top 10 – State Championship
The off-season will be a busy one with a new motor package, plenty of upgrades, and big plans in place as we prepare to tackle a full 2026/27 season.
Tyler #32
Tyler’s first season had plenty of ups and downs — probably more than we would have liked. With a lot of small issues and setbacks throughout the year, it was difficult to get a consistent run together. However, every time we got him more comfortable in the car, he showed great signs of improvement and speed.
There are plenty of positives to take away from his rookie season, along with valuable experience that will help him return more confident and ready to go.
Tyler was awarded the hard luck award.
Season results:
🏁 7th – Fast Friday Racing Series
🏁 10th – Opal Finance Motorplex Track Championship
🏁 22nd – Roadline Civil West Coast Series (only completing two rounds)
A big off-season lies ahead with plenty of upgrades and plans to keep moving forward.
Thank You
This season would not have been possible without the incredible support from our sponsors, supporters, families, and crew.
A special mention goes to Dave Headington from Hyper Industries. Your support throughout the season was unbelievable. No matter what problems we faced, you were always there with advice, solutions, and a helping hand to get us back on track. We truly appreciate everything you have done for our team.
Another massive thank you to Darren Rodwell from DDR Motorsport. From helping behind the scenes to lending us parts when we needed them, your support has been great. A perfect example was after we broke a stator on night one of a double header and were ready to call it for night two Darren pulled the stator out of his own motor and lent it to us so we could keep racing.
To our crew — thank you for all the long nights in the shed and the countless hours spent helping us chase our goals. A special mention to Jack, who was there for every single meeting and every late night. Your dedication never went unnoticed. Also another special mention to Dad who was always there in yeh up and down season facing the struggles and frustrations.
To our families — thank you for allowing us to do what we love and supporting us every step of the way.

Night 1 Recap – Round 6 roadline civil west Coast Series / Round 11 opal finance Track Championship
Car 21 kicked the night off starting P5 in Heat 1 and brought it home in P5. We had a slight setup issue, so we made some changes heading into Heat 2. Starting P6, we managed to move forward to P5, but still weren’t fully happy with the car.
For the mid-pack race, we rolled off from P6 and finished P6 again. We kept chipping away at the setup, making more adjustments before the feature.
Starting out of P12 in the feature, we had some great battles on track and pushed our way up to finish P7. Overall, we made solid progress with the car and are feeling more confident heading into Night 2 (Round 7 roadline civil West Coast Series / Round 12 opal finance Track Championship). Looking for a more consistent run.
Car 21 also played the joker for this round, and it paid off with a strong points haul. That result should lock us into a top 10 finish in the series — which was the goal at the start of the year, even after missing a round.
Car 32 started strong in Heat 1 from P3, but unfortunately suffered motor issues early and ended up covering the car in oil. After checking everything over, we made the call to park it for the night and the rest of the season. It’s been a big learning curve, and we’ve gained some valuable experience and track time. We’ll be back next season with some upgrades and ready to go again.
Big thanks to all our sponsors for their continued support 👊

🔰 #21 Update
After a mixed run the last couple of meetings, we’re keen to finish the season strong. Last round we were really happy with Friday night, bringing it home in 4th place. Saturday didn’t go our way with a DNF due to rear-end damage.
We’ve still got our joker card up our sleeve, so we’re hoping to find some form, double up the points, and make a solid jump in the standings. The goal is simple finish the season on a high.
---
🔰 #32 Update
After discovering some key information about the car following the last meeting, we’re looking to bounce back with a much stronger performance. It hasn’t been the best run lately and confidence has taken a hit, but we’re determined to turn it around.
With his joker also up his sleeve, We’re pushing hard to finish the season strong and build momentum heading into next season.

State Title Recap – What a Weekend!
Well, what a weekend it was for our first state championship.
Car #21
We struggled with corner speed all weekend and were chasing our tails trying to figure it out. Despite that, we managed to qualify directly into the A Main, starting P13. Had a lucky escape in turn one, narrowly missing a spinning and rolling car.
We didn’t get the best start, but towards the back end of the race the car really came alive. Just as we worked our way up to P8, a yellow came out. We lined up P9 for the restart, but unfortunately made a mistake and spun on the line, sending us to the rear for being the primary cause.
From there, we fought our way back to finish P10 which was our goal heading into the weekend. Gutted about the mistake, but overall a solid result from a very frustrating few days.
Car #32
Still gaining valuable laps and working towards a setup the driver is comfortable with. We made some good changes late that showed promise. Just missed transferring directly to the A Main, which put us on the front row of the B Main.
Managed to hold on for P2 and transfer into the big dance. Starting from the back rows, the plan was simple stay clean and finish the race. Everything was going to plan until two laps to go, when we got caught up with a slowing car heading to the infield. With nowhere to go, contact ended our night a disappointing way to finish the state title for car #32.
It was a massive weekend with a lot of effort behind the scenes.
Huge congratulations to the new WA Champion Cody Turacchio Motorsports, a very deserving winner who absolutely dominated.
Big thanks to all the volunteers this doesn’t happen without you.
And to Albany Speedway Club what a track. Awesome racing all weekend and definitely my new favourite.
