Real Conversations Create Clients
Starting conversations does not have to feel awkward.
You do not need a perfect script.
You do not need to sound clever.
You do not need to turn every message into a sales pitch.
Just be a real person.
Ask a real question.
Add real value.
Respect the person on the other side.
Focus on helping one person today.
And then keep going.
Because client attraction is not about waiting for one reply and hoping that becomes a client.
It is about building relationships one conversation at a time.

Narrowing Down Will Not Cost You Clients
Narrowing down does not mean you are pushing people away.
That is one of the biggest fears coaches have.
You worry that if you get specific, you will lose people. But often the opposite happens.
When your message is clearer, the right people can understand:
• who you help
• what you help them with
• why it matters to them
• what they need to do next
Broad can feel safer but it often makes your message harder to understand.
Specific helps people recognise themselves in your work.
So do not just tell people you are a coach. Tell them who you help, how you help and what the next step is.
Clear makes it easier for the right client to move closer.
Be Careful What You Put Into AI
If you not paying for the product then you are the product .
Free AI tools can be useful but it is worth being careful with what you put into them.
AI can help you with ideas, structure, content prompts and visibility. It can be a great support when you are trying to get your message out there.
But sensitive information needs a different level of care.
Before you copy and paste something into a free AI tool, pause and ask:
• Is this client information private?
• Is this business information sensitive?
• Would I be comfortable with this being used outside this moment?
• Does this really need to go into AI?
Use AI where it helps.
Keep the sensitive details protected.
Because free does not always mean there is no cost.

On Saturday we said goodbye to Blaze.
If you have followed Cathy Smith Coaching for a while, you may have spotted him in a video, heard him interrupt the occasional Zoom call or seen a glimpse as he sat quietly beside me while I worked.
He was part of this business because he was part of my life.
He sat at my feet while I wrote, planned, coached and worked through ideas. He walked beside me while I thought things through or waited patiently while I took yet another photo of a sunset, the beach or the wildflowers for a social post.
When the children were younger, he somehow knew when it was school pick up time. If we were catching the bus, he would disappear, then come back fifteen minutes later to remind me again.
Dogs really do have their own time management skills.
It is the little things that are the undoing.
Opening the gate and no one is waiting.
Pulling back the curtains and not seeing him asleep on the deck.
The magpies still arriving for the leftover rice from his breakfast bowl, not knowing anything has changed. The chooks looking around for him to follow.
Blaze was never meant to be the star of the business, although he did steal the spotlight now and then.
He was simply my loyal companion, always nearby, asking for very for very little, scratches and walks, dinner if I was late. Giving so much.
Thank you, Blaze.
For almost sixteen years of loyalty, muddy paws, unexpected Zoom appearances, quiet walks and unconditional love.
You left paw prints and fur in our home, memories in our hearts and tears in our eyes.
Missed dearly. Never forgotten. ❤️
RIP Blaze ❤️
AI is not a strategy.
It is an amplifier.
If your systems are clear, your processes are documented and your workflow makes sense, AI can help you work faster and more efficiently.
If your business is already chaotic, AI will simply help you create chaos at speed.
I see so many business owners hoping AI will fix disorganisation, inconsistent processes or unclear messaging. It will not.
Before asking, "How can I use AI?" ask yourself:
• Is my process clear?
• Could someone else follow it?
• Do I know what a good outcome looks like?
Get the foundations right first. Then let AI amplify what is already working.
Otherwise you are just creating digital spaghetti.
If you are feeling stuck and not sure where to start, you do not have to figure it out alone.
DM me the word CLARITY and let's have a conversation about your business. Sometimes one outside perspective is all it takes to see the next step.

A giant tree falls and our first instinct is to mourn what is gone.
The shade.
The beauty.
The years it took to grow.
But nature sees something else.
More light.
More space.
More room for new growth.
And business can be like that too.
A quiet webinar.
A launch that did not land.
A post that underperformed.
It can feel like failure.
But what if it is leaving clues?
What if it is showing you what to tweak, what to let go of or where the next opportunity is?
Disappointment is real, but it may not be the end of the story.

Sometimes we carry the weight of our past far longer than we need to.
The mistakes.
The disappointment.
The regret.
The shame.
It can feel like a heavy handbag full of sand.
But healing doesn't always happen in one big breakthrough. Sometimes it happens one tiny grain at a time.
One conversation.
One choice.
One act of self compassion.
One day where you feel just a little lighter.
Then one day you'll realise the bag is empty.
Not because you forced yourself to let go, but because life quietly carried it away, one grain at a time.
Keep doing the work. Even when the progress feels invisible, it's happening.
What's one thing you're slowly letting go of?
Who's the demographic I help?
Coaches.
More specifically, I help coaches who are passionate about making a difference but are struggling to build a thriving coaching business.
You have completed your coaching qualification, but the clients aren't coming consistently.
You're showing up, posting on social media, networking and trying all the things, but nothing feels predictable.
The truth is, being a great coach and knowing how to build a coaching business are two different skill sets.
That's where I come in.
I help coaches establish a thriving coaching business through clarity, visibility and strategy, so they can attract the right clients with confidence.

Your 1 problem.
To make marketing simple, you need to boil it down to one problem for one audience and you supply the solution.
In the Coaches Momentum Roadmap one of the things we talk about is the Rule of One and it makes marketing and selling so much easier.
DM me to find out more.
Most coaches make this harder than it needs to be.
You do not need a complicated explanation of your coaching program.
You need a simple way to communicate your value.
Instead of listing every module, every worksheet and every coaching call, focus on what people really want to know:
✔️ Who do you help?
✔️ What problem do you solve?
✔️ What result do you help them achieve?
For example:
"I am a business coach and I help coaches create thriving businesses."
Simple.
Clear.
Memorable.
When people understand what you do, they are more likely to remember you, refer you and start a conversation.
The clearer your message, the easier it becomes to attract the right clients.
