Rombus is a flexible concrete pavement system available in two options, Grid V1 and Fusion V2.
V1 is just 40 mm deep and when filled with concrete has been tested to loads exceeding 10,000 tonnes per square metre. Even before concrete is added, the grid itself has demonstrated a crush capacity exceeding 400 tonnes per square metre.
Fusion V2 is 48 mm deep and features an improved interlocking design, with each panel covering approximately 1.36 m².
With both systems, concrete is poured into and through the grid so it becomes encapsulated within the finished pavement, creating one integrated system.

At just 48 mm, Rombus Fusion V2 is designed to achieve more with less concrete.
Rather than relying on the added thickness of a traditional concrete slab, the interconnected V2 grid becomes fully encapsulated within the concrete to create one integrated pavement system. This allows the concrete volume to be significantly reduced without sacrificing the strength and load bearing performance required.
Less concrete also means fewer truck movements, lower material costs and less concrete related CO₂.
Rombus Grid V1 and Rombus Fusion V2 were developed to make concrete pavement more material efficient.
Both systems are manufactured from recycled plastic and are designed to become encapsulated within the finished concrete pavement.
By changing the way the pavement is constructed, Rombus can significantly reduce the amount of concrete required compared with conventional construction methods.
Across larger projects, those reductions can add up quickly, using less concrete while putting recycled plastic back to work in long term infrastructure.

Big shoutout to Jason and the team in Queensland for another great residential Rombus install. 🇦🇺
We love seeing Rombus out on real projects around Australia, so if you’re installing or working with Rombus, make sure you tag us or send your photos and videos through.
We’d love to share them.
Rombus is an Australian designed flexible concrete pavement system available in two options, V1 and Fusion V2.
Both systems use a recycled plastic grid together with concrete to create one integrated pavement. The grid is installed onto a prepared surface, then concrete is poured into and through it so the grid becomes encapsulated within the finished pavement.
Rombus is designed to significantly reduce the amount of concrete required compared with conventional pavement construction. Using less concrete can mean lower concrete related CO2 emissions, less material and potential project cost savings.
The system is also built for serious performance. Rombus has been tested to loads exceeding 10,000 tonnes per square metre when filled with concrete.
Rombus can be used across residential, commercial, agricultural and industrial applications.

Good innovation should never stop being tested.
We’re working with RMIT University to continue testing Rombus, build on existing performance data and broaden our understanding of how the system performs across different conditions and applications.
Rombus was developed for Australian conditions, and this ongoing work allows us to keep learning, improving and supporting future development with real data.
Because staying ahead means continuing to test, question and evolve.
This video is from when we were pouring samples to test.
