Western Hockey Masters - Perth

Very weary, heading home to Perth after an excellent World Masters Hockey tournament in Breda, Netherlands.

Wagner Stadium in The Netherlands, home of Oranje Hockey....has 13 turfs!
Bredase Hockey, where the older Masters World Cup just finished, has 7 turfs.

With a population of 18.5 million and 600,000 registered hockey players, this is what you get.

Meanwhile, the home of our National teams, the Kookaburras and Hockeyroos has 2 turfs....increasing to 3 soon. And 60's men's club hockey still can't get a Saturday comp on turf.

Lots of Western Hockey Masters guys here in Breda, The Netherlands enjoying the World Masters Hockey tournament. I'll endeavour to take more pics of the guys and share as I go.

This club has 7, yes 7!, turfs. Of course there's a huge range of European beers on tap to quench the thirst of it's 1500 members.

Very humid and hot here last 2 days (31-35c).
