✨ The Intelligence of Springs ✨
One of the things that makes Pilates so unique is the use of springs instead of traditional weights.
Unlike weights, springs provide resistance in both directions. As you press into the spring, you’re challenged to build strength. As it returns, you’re challenged to maintain control.
This means your body is constantly working to stabilize, coordinate, and organize movement throughout every exercise.
Springs also offer instant feedback. If you move with too much tension or lose control, the springs will let you know—encouraging greater awareness and precision with every repetition.
Rather than isolating individual muscles, Pilates equipment encourages the whole body to work together as one integrated system.
The result? More efficient movement, better control, improved coordination, and a deeper connection to your body.
It’s just one of the many reasons we love the reformer at Pure Pilates. 🤍
