✨ To all my instructor friends, I see you, I hear you, and I’m here for you.✨

I could have spoken forever on this topic, but here’s my brain dump for you. The hardest thing about going from working in an office environment surrounded by a team, to working in a studio, was not being surrounded by a team. Our members are bloody awesome, and we’re so lucky to have them, but it can feel quite fleeting in the context of a whole day.

We’re social creatures by nature, it’s part of why we do what we do, but unless you have other team members in the studio with you, it can be very lonely, and the desire to form connections and relationships beyond surface level become very loud.

Ironically, our social lives take a hit, because once we’ve finished teaching for the day or week, there’s usually a crash out and some decompression time required. Often this leaves our social battery depleted, making socialising next to impossible.

As mentioned, I could go on, but we’ll be here forever. If you’ve made it this far, I hope in some way, I’ve helped you realise that you’re not alone and it can be quite heavy. The highs totally outweigh the lows, but that doesn’t mean the lows aren’t there - remember to look after yourself and my inbox is always open 🫶
