On Friday night we held our Quiz Night for 2026. We had a great turnout of 13 tables full of players, friends and family. A HUGE thank you to all the businesses who donated prizes and vouchers.

We are pleased to announce that Mark Bogensperger will be our club coach for the upcoming 2026/27 season! As a life member, Bogie is an experienced face around the club and will help us in our hunt for flags this year! Bogie was always a passionate cricketer and a great all-rounder - a swashbuckling left-hand batsman who showed a lot of grunt - and a right-arm swing bowler who could move it both ways! Welcome Bogie!

Hilton Bicton are seeking new players for the upcoming 26/27 cricket season!

Alongside the all star team, the SMCA- 30 Year Anniversary celebrations also included the naming of club legends. Each of these men have been influential and significant in shaping the club to be what it is today.

Bill Earnshaw is life member number one, and has continued to support the club every week. Playing 218 games, he dominated with 425 wickets at just 11.8 and 6639 runs at 24.00. He continues to be a staple at every home game, where he remains a strong link from our first game as a club to today. He is the definition of club legend and is an inspiration to every member.

Ray Killeen has been an important part of the club culture for a long time. Playing 181 games for the club, he took 381 wickets at an average of 14.2, and chipped in with 1879 runs at 11.5. But more than this was the impact he has had on many of the players who have come through the club. His approachable nature ensures that everyone who has been through the club recognises the impact he has had.

Gary Richardson played a monstrous 394 games, amassing a, frankly absurd, total of 805 wickets at 15.75 alongside a more than handy 5130 runs at 19.9. Alongside this, he has been the backbone of the club, helping to establish the club to be the powerhouse it has been. His support has always been felt throughout the club and he remains a towering figure for all members to aspire towards.

Mark Holt defined the Bicton Attadale Cricket Club prior to the merger with Hilton Palmyra Cricket Club. 114 games for the club were headlined by 208 wickets at an average of 12.9; on top of 403 wickets prior to the establishment of BACC. As the founding leader, he was instrumental in establishing the club in 2009. He instilled a winning culture that has continued to this day. His time and dedication to the club has been remarkable, with the club unlikely to be recognisable without his impact.

The SMCA- South Metropolitan Cricket Association held their 30th Anniversary celebrations on Friday night. The occasion was a celebration of the first 3 decades of the competition, with a star studded XI named. The Hilton Bicton Cricket Club was represented in this team by Ryan Miller, Jeremy Vlasich and Brad Rowan!

Ryan Miller slotted in at number three in this team. He starred across 144 games for the club with 4761 runs at an average of 31.95! A destructive batsman, he racked up 8 tons to go with 18 50s, including a high score of 141.

Jeremy Vlasich was named as the wicket keeper, but we all know he can score serious runs. With 9,927, he's knocking on the door of the exclusive 10k club at the very healthy average of 24.39. He has put on some special innings, including 7 100s and 48 50s. Coupling numbers like these with sharp and reliable glove work made him a walk up in the team.

Brad Rowan represented the club on 338 occasions, taking a monstrous 527 wickets (4th most at the club) at an average of 15.7! He also contributed 4836 runs at an average of 18.8, proving that this team would bat all the way down.

The HBCC AGM will be held at Melville Reserve on June 5th. Please arrive at 6pm for a 6:30 start.
