Over the years many champions have started their careers with the Victoria Park Raiders and then gone on to play both WAFL and AFL football.

We always take great pride in the support and dedication of our numerous volunteers and family members. In the spirit of reconciliation the Victoria Park Raiders JFC acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We acknowledge the Wadjuk people of the Noongar Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we play

Congratulations to Daniel Kinsman from our Year 9 team on his selection in the 2026 AFL U14’s State Team.

Daniel has been part of the Raiders family since Auskick and has continued to develop his game through hard work, determination and passion over many years.

His dedication and commitment has earned him the opportunity to represent WA for the second time at the National Tournament in Melbourne in a couple of weeks. A fantastic and well deserved achievement.

We are incredibly proud of Daniel and can’t wait to see him represent both WA and Raiders on the big stage once again and wish him all the very best for the tournament.

If you are out and about over these school holidays, please remember to support the businesses that support us.

Our sponsors play a huge role in helping us provide opportunities for our players, teams and families, and we are incredibly grateful for their ongoing support and commitment to the Raiders.

Whether it's grabbing a coffee, enjoying a meal, booking a service or planning a family activity, every bit of support makes a difference.

By supporting our sponsors, you're helping support the future of grassroots footy and help strengthen the partnerships that make our club strong.

It’s Women’s Coaching Month!

The 2026 theme, “Keep Coaching. Keep Leading,” celebrates the importance of retaining and empowering women coaches, supporting their growth through development opportunities, recognising their leadership, and inspiring long-term involvement in sport and their continued positive impact on participants and communities.

In celebration of Women’s Coaching Month, we would like to recognise the amazing work of Saynab Bayahow in her role as Assistant Coach of our 7/8 Girls, Lenny Jacoby, Coach of our 5/6 Girls and Grace Beaton, our Assistant Coach in our 9/10 Girls, along with our dedicated Auskick Coordinators, Catherine Barry, Carly Scott, and Kate Gibson.

Lenny, Grace and Saynab have made a wonderful contribution to our club through their commitment, enthusiasm, and support of our young players and their passion for coaching and dedication to supporting girls in football make them valued role models within our club.

Our Auskick Coordinators, Catherine, Carly, and Kate, play a vital role in introducing children to football and creating a welcoming, fun, and inclusive experience for families. Their dedication behind the scenes ensures our youngest participants have the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop a lifelong love of the game.

Thank you to Lenny, Saynab, Grace, Catherine, Carly, and Kate for the time, energy, and leadership you bring to our club. Your efforts help create positive experiences for our players and families and strengthen our football community every day.

Happy Women’s Coaching Month, and thank you to all women who continue to Coach, Lead, and Inspire.

A reminder that we will be taking a break over the school holidays, with games resuming on the weekend of 24th July.

On behalf of the Vic Park Raiders, a massive thank you to Tom from WA Football for coming down last night and speaking with our coaches. Your session really set the scene for a fantastic evening and allowed us to flow naturally into discussions around coaching philosophy and, of course, everyone's favourite topic—rotations, positions, and game time.

A big shout out also to our Coach Coordinator Alastair Brook, for organising the event, and to everyone who attended. “The Coaches Huddle” was a new concept for our club, and one that we hope continues to gather momentum as we create more opportunities for our Coaches to connect, learn, and share ideas.

And a special thank you also to Paul Savy, Jos Welsh and Russell Mengersen for your time, knowledge and willingness to support our coaching group. Your insights and contributions added great value to the evening and helped make it a fantastic learning opportunity for everyone.

We recognise that umpiring is essential to the success and sustainability of our competition. To support the development of umpires and create a greater understanding of the game, the club has a 2026 Player Umpiring Incentive Initiative aimed at encouraging Raiders players to become trained and qualified umpires.

To encourage participation in umpiring, the Vic Park Raiders will contribute $50 towards the AFL Umpire Registration Fee for any current Vic Park Raiders player who registers as an umpire.

To receive the club contribution, participants must:

· Be a registered Vic Park Raiders player for the current season.
· Register as an umpire through the relevant umpiring pathway.
· Provide proof of umpire registration payment to Raiders Treasurer.
· Officiate a minimum of five (5) matches during the season.
· Attend regular weekly DDFUA Umpire Training.

Upon meeting the above requirements, the club will reimburse $50 of the player's umpire registration fee that is paid to Demons District Football Umpire Association.
