Thoughts & Musings
"To write in this moment is to try to describe the subtle, unstoppable nature of the tide. By the time I feel like I get the essence of it and I have the words to share, the direction has turned again.
It should be easy to talk about the tide. It’s obvious, the way the waters will roll up and swallow your beach towel. If you don’t get a sense of it this time, just wait twelve hours and it will all happen again. But then, it’s impossible to really comprehend how the movements are all arranged by the moon.
And so I just point to the sky and the ocean and look down at my feet, all overcome with the sensation of wet and dry and the liminal space upon which I stand. The words lap around my ankles and are all swept away again."

What are the stories you imagine that connect you with the natural world?
What are the practices that link you with your body, breath and mind?
I'd love to share this weekend retreat with you delving into the landscapes of our physical being, our mind selves and our natural world.
This is a weekend devoted to exploration, experience and curiosity.

Come one, come all.
Let us wrap you in a warm blanket of story.
Let us tell you a tale and take you back to a time and place when traditional stories were told orally, from teller to listener bringing you deep into wonder and mystery.
Tales of Togetherness is a cycle of story events weaving it's way through the Shire of Swan.
From August to December we will bring you three storytellers with three different tales. You can come to one or you can come to all.
We begin our meanderings in August at Old Young's Distillery on West Swan Rd.
We'd love your company

Thoughts & Musings
“We have an even stranger idea: that we will finally fall in love with ourselves only when we have become the totally efficient organized organism we have always wanted to be and left all of bumbling ineptness behind. Yet in exactly the way we come to find love and intimacy with others through vulnerability, we come to those same qualities in ourselves through living out the awkwardness of not knowing, of not being in charge.”

Thoughts & Musings
"We were riding through frozen fields in a wagon drawn at dawn.
Red wing rose in the darkness.
And suddenly a hare ran across the road.
One of us pointed to it with his hand.
That was long ago. Today neither of them is alive,
Not the hare nor the man who made the gesture.
Oh my love, where are they now, where are they gone.
The flash of a hand, streak of movement, rustle of pebbles.
I ask not out of sorrow, but in wonder."
