You may have noticed the inclusion of the Torsonator Hack Squat into our Strength sessions lately - here’s a few key reasons this movement is a great way to get you an epic leg pump without sacrificing your form.
• The angled movement often allows for a deeper range of motion given the vertical torso and open ankle angle.
• The fixed bar path provides extra stability and leaning back on the weight plates keeps your torso vertical, which shifts the load away from the lumbar spine.
• Having the feet flat on the ground allows the ankles a more open angle which ensures the force of the squat is distributed over the ankle, knee and hip joints sharing the stress - and not compounding on one single joint.
