Club awards

The President Award – Matt Bowerman
Coach of our Year 5’s for the 6th year, assistant coach for year 1’s. He sets up training, Auskick, game days, packs away, jumps in to do anything for the committee, brings kids to training and games. He was recognised by Fremantle Dockers as an outstanding volunteers and got the game experience, and in true Matt spirit he took his co coaches and their families with him.

The Vowels’ Memorial Award – Ziggy
A threepeat for Ziggy, his third year of coaching, another one who is the reason kids want to play with our club. The future is bright, congrats Ziggy

The Bregila Award – Geneva
We’ve had three exception kids in their first year of football play in a grade above, all taking to it like a duck to water. Showing that Teamwork, sportsmanship and growth the ultimate winner was Geneva.

The Committee Person of the year – Matt Jones.
This first year committee member, sponsors and Auskick coordinator has done it all. But above all the nice things we can say about him and how he interacts with all the kids, he genuinely cares for the club, community and the future. An ear to anyone who needs it, preferrable with a b**r in hand.

President Report

What a season it's been.

When we look back at what made this year special, one word keeps coming up again and again: community. Not just from the kids, but from the parents, the coaches, and everyone who showed up week after week.

To our committee, coaches, team managers and volunteers the feedback has been clear in 2026 the club has felt more organised, more cohesive, and more welcoming than ever before. That doesn't happen by accident. That's leadership, energy, and genuine care from the people who show up early and stay late.

To the parents, thank you. For the friendships you've built on the sidelines, for the support you've given each other, and for making this club feel less like an organisation and more like a family.

To the players — you brought the energy, the goals, and the good times. You are what makes this club a great one.

And honestly, that's what junior footy is all about. Teamwork. Sportsmanship. Growth. Kids learning to back each other up, win together, lose together, and get straight back up again.

We always want more views and voices on the committee in 2027 stay tuned for the AGM soon.
