Took a trip to Geraldton to get in some valuable seat time in preparation for the open and State titles. First time on track for both kids and they were loving the layout.
It was a great day with some fantastic racing, we’re looking forward to Triple Crown in 2 weeks.

The Golden Mile in Kalgoorlie wow what an event with a splash of weather to put the cherry on top.

After months of testing and development with Adam Cornick at ARC Engines we’ve got the Restricted Rotax pearling on the Tony Kart. Lloyd qualified fastest and won 2 of the 3 heats. When the heavens opened up the nerves set in, unsure how the rotax would go in the wet. A great start saw the lead open up and he maintained the lead all the way home. Couldn’t do it without the help of Jesse Elliott and Nathan Will on the tools all weekend making it happen.

Chase was loving the track and chipping away in the dry but too many mistakes were costing him. Happy to see a wet race he got an epic start going from 11th-4th in 3 corners but then soon got freight trained and pushed too hard into the chicane and taking out the tyre barriers for a DNF.

Luca smashed a pb in heat 1 and was growing in confidence. An engine swap saw dad on the tools to help mum but a silly mistake not aligning the chain saw the thing explode into oblivion going round the velodrome. A stern talking to dad saw him booted off the tools and we were in high spirits going out on wets for the final. An impressive drive from 9th-6th. Unfortunately after racing Luca had a fight with the track and this time the track won. A nice shiner for show n tell at school tomorrow.

Tuff weekend for the kids at King of the Hill, Luca struggling with the confidence to pass at the right time, no holding back for the final though sent it from lights out and held her position for majority of the race with some killer straight line hp helping. Chase hasn’t had very much practice at Wundowie so was off pace and got all in his own head and decided to withdraw.
In KA Heavy Lloyd was having an epic battle for 2nd unfortunately after crossing the line in 3rd he was demoted to 5th with a drop down. A disappointing weekend but we turn our head to the next race this weekend at Wanneroo. Thanks to BD Soutar-dawson for all the advice and help over the weekend.
