Our Under 11 Green boys started the year playing in the Under 10 competition… before stepping up an entire age group into the Under 11s.

And what did they do after moving up?

THEY WENT AND FINISHED AS MINOR PREMIERS! 🏆🔥

Playing against older and bigger opposition every week didn’t faze this group. They backed themselves, backed each other and kept turning up ready to compete.

To the players, coaches, managers, parents and supporters MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS! 👏

An incredible achievement and something this team should be extremely proud of.

💚🏉 THE RUGBY COMMUNITY STANDS TOGETHER 🏉💚

Rugby is more than just a game.

It’s a community. It’s a family. And when times get tough, we stand together.

One of our rugby family, Wes Thomas, is currently facing the hardest battle of his life.

On Saturday, Wes suffered a serious central cord syndrome neck injury while playing for Warringah. He is now in hospital facing a long and uncertain road to recovery.

Many in the rugby community will know Wes — a devoted partner and father, a fierce competitor and an outstanding rugby player. Just 12 months ago, he celebrated a Shute Shield Premiership and was awarded the Ken Catchpole Medal as the competition’s best player.

But right now, rugby takes a back seat.

Wes and his family need the rugby community in their corner.

A GoFundMe has been established to help ease the financial pressure of hospital visits, time away from work, medical expenses and everything else that comes with a life-changing injury.
