Whilst this important message comes from FDBA, it relates to every team no matter which association you play in.
Such an important reminder of the values we expect and the code of conduct we abide by.
Please always keep in mind this is a kids sport - for friendship and fun!

TWENTY officials have quit refereeing at Frankston Basketball this year.

Why? Abuse from spectators, coaches, parents and players.

As we head into finals across our senior and junior competitions, emotions can run high. However, that does not excuse abusive behaviour.

A reminder: your involvement must remain positive.

🔸 Parents/spectators do not enter the playing area at any time.
🔸 At no point should parents/spectators approach officials.
🔸 Leave the management of players to their coaches.
🔸 If there is an issue, speak to a supervisor.

Abuse drives referees away. Respect keeps them in the game. No Refs = No Play.

We are well underway creating our teams for the upcoming Summer Season and have the following spots available:
▪️3-4 X 2019/2020 Born Girls – New team no experience required – Day and Association TBC
▪️6 X 2017 Born Girls - New team no experience required – Day and Association TBC
▪️2 x 2019/2020 Born Boys – Intermediate skill level – Frankston Saturdays
▪️1 x 2019/2020 Born Boy – Intermediate skill level – Casey Thursdays
▪️2x 2017/2018 Born Boys – Intermediate skill level – Frankston Saturdays
▪️1 x 2017/2018 Born Boys - Intermediate skill level - Casey Thursday

🏀UNIFORM ORDERS🏀
To all of our new players starting in Term 4 - singlet orders are due by Monday 14 September to ensure they are ready in time for your first game.
Reminder to existing players needing a new singlet - orders for specific singlet numbers can take 6-8 weeks to manufacture so if you need a bigger size, submit your orders ASAP.

🚨 URGENT MESSAGE 🚨
Attention all PBC families and members.

Please ensure that all players attending and waiting for training have adult supervision.

We have had too many incidents of players, particularly those waiting around for their training session to start, attempting to access other school facilities and areas.
Not only does this violate our hire agreement with the school, but is a safety issue concerning all players and the facilities.

We have now been told that we are at risk of losing our access to the school gym, which as you can imagine, would be highly detrimental to our club.

It is imperative that all players are supervised by their carers at all times.

🏀 SPBA Domestic Tournament 🏀

In the middle weekend of the school holidays, there aren’t any regular games scheduled. So what do some of our ballers do? Go and play 4 or 5 more at the Southern Peninsula Domestic Tournament.
