VDBC - National Titles - 29-3-2015 - Blast from the Past.

As most of you know the club holds a general meeting on the second Tuesday of every month at the NWSC starting about 6.30pm
Anyone and everyone is not only invited but encouraged to come along and hear what the club is up to both on and off the water put your ideas forward join in the discussion or just sit and listen the choice is yours 😊
Last Tuesday’s meeting being the first for the new season was a little significant and as Shannon kindly reminded us that the club has now officially turned 40 !!!🎉🎉🎉
A huge milestone for any club and the thanks must go to every individual that has been part of that journey no matter how big or small your input has been it’s because of you that we are where we are today !!!
Even if we take 5 meetings a year as an average that’s a minimum of 200 meetings in total which is something the club needs to be extremely proud of and if the last couple of seasons is anything to go by we’re not done yet !
We look forward to this next season with a very high level of expectation as more and more boats come along for the ride and people put their hands up to be involved at all levels
We are NOT a club that promises anything it can’t deliver but I think it’s only fair to share the fact that at this point we feel this years Nationals in March could be our biggest meeting for years if not ever 🏁🏁🏁
Early indications from boat owners from both Victoria and NSW would suggest this is possible to a level that we are looking into running a 2 day event with a test and tune session on the Saturday leading into Sundays event so maybe pencil this into your calendar and look for updates here as things progress ✅✅✅✅
Just to finish the club would like to reach out to all our members over the last 40 years and say once again a huge THANK YOU for your part in our journey and if ever you thought about getting back on board this just might be the year to do it 😎😎

VDBC Inc has some sad news that Alan Beale has passed away, our thoughts & condolences are with the Beale family and friends, Alan had his own Racing Team and had been racing for the last 50 years, he designed and built boats for circuit racing, Ski racing and pleasure craft, he will be sadly missed. His boat was "Psycho" RIP Alan.
