🌏 Coburg’s Taekwondo Stars Head to Hong Kong for a Once-in-a-Lifetime Opportunity
We are incredibly proud to announce that 11 athletes from Team Taekwondo Coburg have been selected to take part in a fully funded international training exchange with the Hong Kong National Taekwondo Team this September.
From 12-20 September 2026, our athletes will train alongside national-level competitors and coaches, gaining invaluable experience in a high-performance environment while representing both our club and the broader Coburg community.
Founded in 1992, Team Taekwondo has spent more than 30 years helping athletes develop through discipline, perseverance and excellence. This opportunity is a reflection of the dedication shown by our athletes, families and coaches over many years.
Special recognition goes to athletes including:
🥋 Reyna Herbertson - International Australian representative and world-ranked competitor
🥋 Kadir Erkut - 2026 Australian Junior National Team member and World Championships representative
🥋 Ata Eryurek - Our youngest travelling athlete at just 13 years old, already a multiple state and national medallist

For Coach Murat Eryurek, the trip is about more than sport.
