East Coburg Cricket Club is pleased to announce Anthony Gregory and Joe Trimboli as our 3rd XI Co-Captains for season 2026/27.

Anthony, an East Coburg junior cricketer, has done a fantastic job transitioning into senior cricket and now steps into a leadership role. A genuine A1 clubman, he has represented the club across every grade from the 1st XI through to the 5th XI, giving him valuable experience to complement his strong cricketing ability, work ethic and reliability with both bat and ball.

Joe needs little introduction as one of the most decorated players and captains in East Coburg history. Closing in on 400 senior games, our all-time leading wicket taker and someone who truly bleeds green and gold, his passion for the club is second to none.

We’re excited to see Joe work alongside Anthony as he continues to develop as a leader, continuing our focus on providing opportunities to the next generation of leaders within the club.

East Coburg Cricket Club is pleased to announce that William Brice has been appointed as Captain of the Second XI for the 2026/27 season 🦬.

After joining the club last year, Billy made a seamless transition into the playing group and put together a strong season across both the 1st and 2nd XI, highlighted by a century in the Second XI.

Billy brings an impressive cricket background to the role, having played and captained overseas in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom. He has already demonstrated the leadership qualities we value, and we believe he is the ideal person to lead the side and a talented young group this season.

Billy will be supported by Luca Perrone as Vice-Captain, following the terrific job he did in the role last season.

East Coburg Cricket Club is pleased to announce that Michael Rechichi has been appointed as our Men’s Captain/Coach for the 2026/27 season.

Since taking the reins following the club’s 2023 premiership, Michael has guided the side to back-to-back finals campaigns, including a Grand Final appearance in 2024/25.

Combining player leadership and tactical coaching in one key role, Michael will continue to drive the club’s standards both on the training track and out in the middle at Brearley Reserve.

As a young leader, Michael has played a pivotal role in the continued growth of the club, overseeing five senior sides while helping develop our talented core of young players and building a strong, united playing group. Following a terrific home-and-away campaign from the playing group, Michael’s leadership was again on display in last season’s Semi Final.

Hungry to continue raising the bar for both himself and the club, we’re excited to have Michael leading the way once again in the green and gold.

We're proud to announce that Michael Gallo has been re-appointed as our Senior Men's Head of Cricket for the 2026/27 season.

Michael's leadership, experience and commitment continue to play a vital role in the growth of our senior cricket program. With multiple years of captain/coaching experience and six seasons as our 1st XI Captain, he brings an outstanding understanding of both the game and our club.

Working closely with our captains and coaches, Michael will continue to drive recruitment, lead our men's cricket strategy and oversee the continued development of our playing group as we shape the future of East Coburg Cricket Club.

Alongside his Head of Cricket responsibilities, we're also thrilled to have Michael continuing as our 1st XI gloveman, bringing his experience and leadership to the field each week.

The ECCC Annual General Meeting was held on Wednesday 24 June 2026.

All five Board members were up up for re-election. As there were no additional nominations, the existing Board members were re-appointed.
