Our team battled all odds and achieved glory in a nail-biting contest of a final against Chatswood Gypsies. Congratulations to the Club, the team, every player and everyone who cheered on as they went on to secure the title. A team effort to remember, this one particularly in the club's history books👏👏. Every player contributed in Securing a chase of 190 with an over to spare. What a season it has been and what a way to finish it off in style 🔥

Needing about 80 runs in the last 14 overs with only 3 wickets in hand, this pair negotiated, stabilised and steered the chase home with an over to spare. Mr. Dependable- Prathamesh with his usual sensible strokemaking pushed for quick runs scoring 37* and pushed the opponents on the backfoot. Class personified🔥. Pair that with one of the finest innings under pressure by Skipper Karthik who battled all difficulties with a strong mindset and clear presence of mind on his way to 40* guiding the team to victory, with some vicious shotmaking, sensible rotation of strike, after taking 2 crucial wickets in the 1st innings. The Performance of a true Captain, leading from the front 👏👏. This Pair showed up on the big day and made use of an early platform and showcased the best of their skills under high pressure- showcasing the true spirit of what this team prides itself to be- SMCA Champions🏆🔥.

***Player of the Week***

- Cheetahs won the toss and put ponds into bat in Bouncy Greyatanes Cricket ground.
- Cheetahs fielders did some good collection with catches with some excellent Wicket keeping by Manas restricting opponents to a respectable score of 171.
- Pradeep Mandapati (4/17) & Murali Ramji (2/25) were pick of bowlers with some tight spells restricting opponents with planned attack.
- Nikhil, Sajan & Rogy contributed very well with bowling not letting Ponds batsman to go after shots.
- Cheetahs started with Power hitting opening pair of Pradeep & Murali started on Gear-4 right from the word GO.
- Pradeep -40* (3*4,4*6) & Murali 40* (2*4, 3*6) made the Chase look very easy.
- Rogy , Arjun & Nikhil scored well finishing the formalities scoring the winning runs.

It’s an excellent Captaincy by Rogy George winning 3/3 Toss and making crucial decisions taking the team to Finals & lifting the CONSOLATION CUP !!!!
