Sing it loud, boys!

Our Baby Parramatta Eels get the W at CommBank Stadium over the Canberra Raiders.

A gritty defensive effort saw our boys grind out a tense win at home, holding Canberra off in the dying moments. Ronald Volkman led the attack with flashy play, admittedly mixed with some poor options as well.

Sean Russell was everywhere, Josh Addo-Carr turned up when needed, as did stand-in skipper Jack Williams.

Some patchy ball handling bought Canberra right back into the contest, from leading 15-0 to holding our breath at 15-12, Joash Papalii will be saying a prayer tonight after nearly costing us the game with a simple ball drop with the match sealing try building up.

That said, the confidence will be high with a victory minus our leaders Mitchell Moses and Junior Paulo, and the much needed rest that comes with the Bye Week next week.

Sound off, Army! 💙💛

Our Parramatta Eels lose a dogfight at Accor Stadium to the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs on King's Birthday Monday.

A torrid affair with both teams playing an atrocious brand of football that saw the first scoreless first half in six years, gave way to a more open style in the second half; with Tallyn Da Silva capping off an excellent short-side raid, before debutant Teancum Brown sent Joash Papalii away to level the scores.

Both teams were desperate to find the match winner, and unfortunately for us, it was Matt Burton who caught the eye of the referee after a seemingly legal tackle saw him stay down, the resulting penalty enough to break hearts...

Another winnable game undone by a plethora of missed tackles and missed moments from our baby Eels.

I only caught the NRL.com highlights of this one, sound off in the comments anyone who saw the full game, have your say!

Our Baby Parramatta Eels go down swinging in Newcastle.

The young cut-and-paste squad showed glimpses of their best and worst throughout the contest. A forward pass saw an opportunity for our boys to take the lead at halftime slip through our hands.

Terrible ball handling in the second half saw the Newcastle Knights skate to a comfortable lead. But a spirited fightback led by Ronald Volkman saw us fall agonisingly short, as a final try attempt was held up over the try line in the last minutes...

We go again next week. Thoughts, Army?
