This Wear It Purple Day, our Netball Victoria team celebrated the 2026 theme, Colours of Courage, by bringing purple into the office, from purple outfits and food to messages of support!

This year’s theme celebrates the everyday courage of LGBTQIA+SB young people, allies and communities, and the small actions that help create spaces where everyone can feel safe, supported and included.

At Netball Victoria, we believe everyone should feel welcome and have the opportunity to belong. Our values guide us to create a sport where people can be themselves, feel connected and know they are valued 💜

From working Melbourne Vixens game days and Netball Victoria events to gaining hands-on experience across coaching, marketing, events and more, our 2026 class has had the chance to learn from industry professionals and experience what a career in sport can look like.

Congratulations to our August Woolworths Netball Grant recipients! 👏

Heights Netball Club, Natimuk United Football Netball Club and Fish Creek Football Netball Club have each received a $2,000 grant to support initiatives that will benefit their local netball communities.

From establishing a dedicated NetSetGo Coordinator role and improving court facilities, to purchasing new equipment and resources for volunteers and players, each club is using the funding to address the needs of their community.

Thank you to Woolworths for supporting grassroots netball and helping clubs continue to grow and create opportunities for their communities 🏐
