Claire will be dancing in this spectacular showcase of Middle Eastern Dance, featuring some of Adelaide's top belly dancers

To dance is the ultimate freedom; to be one with yourself, the earth, the air, the rhythm…
From an early age Claire has loved to dance, instantly drawn to and in love with belly dance after her first taste in 2001. She has attended workshops with local and internationally established dancers, and taught many herself. At ease dancing various styles of belly dance, just as she is to use a wide variety of props such as veil, cane, sword, voi and fire; While Claire is best known for her modern take on belly dance, her original passion for Raks Shaki holds firm.
Claire is the director and principal instructor of Belly Dance Amethyst, teaching students from all ages the art of Middle Eastern Dance (from folkloric to fusion). As director of the studio, Claire has produced multiple sell out and award winning shows for the Adelaide Fringe, hosted successful fundraising events ('Nuance de Nuit') and herself performs for a variety of events locally, interstate, and until recently, internationally.
