🥎 What a day!

Our Come & Try Softball Day was a huge success, with plenty of new faces, lots of laughs and so much fun on the field!

It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved, learning new skills, having a go and discovering just how much fun softball can be.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and made the day such a great one!

We hope to see plenty of you back on the diamond soon! 💚🖤💛

Our U16 Girls team for 2026….

While our U16 Girls team may not have finished with the final result they were hoping for, this group certainly made a statement with their bats from the get-go!

Bringing together a handful of our younger players alongside our more experienced athletes, the girls embraced the GRSA culture of training hard, competing with purpose and, most importantly, having fun. They showed incredible resilience and determination throughout the tournament, battling wet conditions and a tough draw that saw them play three back-to-back games each day, moving from opposite ends of the park every game.

Every player demonstrated great sportsmanship, respect and teamwork, and it was fantastic to see the girls continue to grow and support one another throughout the tournament.

This group is getting better and better with every tournament they play, and the future of the GRSA female program is looking incredibly exciting! Well done, girls — be proud of what you’ve achieved!

Our U16 Boys team for 2026…

The GRSA boys competed in the SNSW U16 State Championship in Penrith on the 8/9th August. In comparison to last year where we placed second we knew we would be up against it this year. With the large majority of our team made up of players from our U14 team, we knew this was a weekend of focusing on development.

Each player set a defensive and offensive goal and a personal performance goal. It was fantastic for the coaches to see most of these goals realised. We were able to see some exceptional improvement across the team and a fantastic come from behind win against Newcastle.

An enormous investment in the future for GRSA.

Grateful our GRSA Masters was able to go ahead over the weekend, despite the weather fighting hard to stop the fun! 🌧️☀️

So firstly, we must give a HUGE thank you to all of our incredible volunteers who helped make the weekend possible! 👏🙌

From setting up the diamonds and keeping them operating, to running the canteen, BBQ and bar, raking between games, and jumping in wherever help was needed, the support and effort across the two days was phenomenal.

We simply couldn’t have hosted such a successful Masters tournament without you all, and we can’t thank you enough for giving up your time and helping make the weekend happen. 💛

Well done to everyone who took to the diamond over the weekend! We saw plenty of great softball, lots of laughs, and most importantly, plenty of fun along the way. 😊

And of course, congratulations to all the teams who finished the tournament with a medal! 👏🏆
