The Road to Glory - The mature Burleigh Girls

Not only do we have our Open Burleigh women representing Australia in Singapore this week, but we also have a team of 75+ girls ready to conquer the 2026 World Sprints.
I paddled with these girls at the Aussie Nationals last year and had difficulty keeping up with them, and knowing the training effort they have put in, they have only got better and better!

The Road to Glory - our Big Burleigh Girls!

Two weeks out from the World Sprint Championships, we asked the Burleigh women representing Australia (Elite Open Womens crew), how they were really feeling.

Overwhelmed. Tired. Excited. Still figuring things out.

Behind every race is the part most people don't see - the early mornings, work, travel, pressure, sacrifice and the constant pursuit of getting a little better.

The work is done. The girls are now in Singapore.
