PROGRAM
Playsports exists to give young children the best possible launchpad to an active, healthy and happy life. Through learning multiple sports children learn how to adapt to different situations, face new challenges and develop a wide range of mot
or skills, all while having heaps of fun! Sport is a great medium to teach children a range of social and emotional skills: how to win well, how to lose well, how to get along with others, how to problem solve, how to use your strength, how to regulate emotion, how to learn in a group environment. Children learn that they can push themselves and develop confidence in their own abilities. The physical, social and emotional skills learned through the Playsports program will give children a big advantage over their peers when they enter primary school. We run through 9 different sports, spending 4 weeks focussing on each one:
Soccer, Athletics, Rugby, Cricket, AFL, Hockey, Softball, Tennis & Basketball. As the coach I work to create a non-threatening environment where the children are comfortable to engage and then challenge them as much as possible so that they stay engaged but are never intimidated. Above all, it's a lot of fun! Classes run for 30 minutes for 2 & 3 year olds and 45 minutes for 4 & 5 year olds. Class sizes are strictly limited to ensure that each child can experience learning in a group setting while also getting the individual attention they need. LOCATIONS
Palm Beach Parklands (next to the Pirate Park) on Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Pacific Pines Central Park (next to the lake on Hotham Street) on Friday mornings. COST
Each 4 week sport block costs $64 with no longer lock-in contract. To make the program more accessible for families with more than one child enrolled each additional child is half price. BOOK YOUR TRIAL CLASS
