3 signs your horse might need bodywork:

1. They warm up out of it,

If your horse starts stiff but improves as you go, this is a warning sign of underlying tightness or restriction.

2. One rein is always more difficult,

Consistently struggling more on one side isn’t just a training problem. It often means there is an imbalance, asymmetry, or discomfort.

3. They struggle to pick up or maintain a certain canter lead,

A horse that repeatedly disunites, struggles to kick off on a particular lead, or falls out of canter easily.. This can be coming from a weakness or restriction through the hindquarters.

Subtle signs are easy to overlook, but they matter in the long run. Small issues now can turn into big issues later.

WE’RE RELOCATING 📍

After many wonderful years working with horses and clients across Melbourne, I will be relocating to Toowoomba in the coming weeks.

While I am incredibly sad to be leaving my clientele in Victoria, I am equally excited for the new adventures ahead!

I feel incredibly grateful to have worked with an amazing range of horses, from much loved pleasure horses through to elite athletes, including multiple Group 1 winning racehorses. I look forward to continuing that same level of care in this next chapter.

I will be taking bookings in Toowoomba from Monday 16 March and will also be returning to Victoria for regular work trips, so this is not goodbye, just a change of postcode 🩶

A national treasure has left us 💔

Makybe Diva passed away earlier today after a sudden and swift battle with colic.

Thank you so much, Tori, for coming out to assess and treat my boy Albany for the first time! Your knowledge, friendly personality, and ability to explain what you were finding was so appreciated and easy to understand. The difference in his gait was almost instant, and I’m already noticing positive improvements. I highly, highly recommend Tori to anyone — we’ll definitely be repeat clients in the new year!
