WE HAVE A NEW MEMBER AT CMA.

At our 30 year celebrations last night, CMA officially became a member of the Brisbane "Binnie Trail."

I am sure we all know, the "Bin Chicken" has gone from being Brisbane's embarrassing scavenger, to basically a bit of a celebrity.

Ryan Forster from .art started making these cheeky metal sculptures, fondly referred to as Binnies, and started installing them secretly around Brisbane, initially just to get motorists to do a double take and have a laugh.

The concept has now collected a massive following, with the Brisbane Bin Chicken Trail being established as a bit of a Brisbane attraction. The are scattered all over Brisbane. Bunnings, coffee shops, the # # brewery, tattoo shops, the Lord Mayors office, and now CMA!!

I do love that he is now going to be watching over the club, glove in hand for many years, be in more than one photo, confuse a few visitors, make a few kids laugh, and remind everyone how important it is to be a part of this amazing community, in this beautiful city.

is ready for his next fight in Thailand TONIGHT at Rajadamnern Knockout in Bangkok.

This has been a longer training camp for Jake, with a couple of months between fights, so he is super keen to get back into the ring, in the oldest Muay Thai Stadium in the world!!!

He will be fighting late our time, so wish him all the best, and cheer him on!!!

I have been going through some old photos, and new ones, ready for a little slide show this Saturday night at the CMA Thirty Year Celebration Dinner.

Man, there's some moments. I have had had to cap it at 500 photos, but it could be thousands.

And they go RIGHT BACK to the beginning. There are not as many of that era as I would like to have, but there are some real moments, and it is hard to decide which photo is more important than another, as they all tell a story, and they are all a moment.

We have over one hundred people coming on Saturday, from all eras of the club, and I am going to be working overtime trying to get around to everyone.

I am so honoured that they are coming, and am looking so forward to it.

There are some we wish could be there, but the planets won't align, and there are some we have lost over the years, who we miss dearly, but we know they are with us in spirit.

I will post more photos up as the week goes on, and look forward to reliving some amazing times.

30 years of Backing Ourselves. It's been no easy feat, but I am so glad that we stuck it out.
