We are delighted to welcome Leah. Leah will be covering for Neil while he is away. And covering a much beloved teacher is HARD. Seeing a new name on the schedule sometimes deters students from coming along. So PLEASE yogis, don’t see Leah’s name and skip out just because it’s not Neil. I promise you will love Leah’s class and you get to learn from a different but equally amazing senior teacher 🤍

About Leah
Leah Nylander has been practising yoga since 2011 and is a 350-hour trained yoga teacher in the ISHTA lineage under Tamara Graham of Tamara Yoga. With over 1,000 hours of yoga education and training. Her teaching combines strong foundations in movement, nervous system support and body awareness, with a focus on building strength, mobility and control. Leah’s classes are practical, challenging and accessible, helping students develop a stronger, more capable body both on and off the mat.

Feel Good Friday | The Art of Rest

Friday 21st Aug | 6pm with Tiari

This Friday, Tiari will guide you through The Art of Rest, a deeply nourishing evening of Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra and the beautiful support of essential oils.

Restorative Yoga is a practice of profound stillness. Using props to completely support the body, we settle into gentle shapes for longer periods of time, allowing the muscles to soften, the breath to deepen and the nervous system to move towards a state of rest and restoration. There is nowhere to go and nothing to achieve.

From this place, we move into Yoga Nidra, often described as yogic sleep. It is a guided practice that takes you through the layers of body, breath and awareness, offering an opportunity to rest deeply while remaining gently conscious.

Tiari will also weave essential oils through the experience, adding another sensory layer to this beautiful practice. Our sense of smell has a direct relationship with the limbic system, the part of the brain closely connected with emotion, memory and our sense of safety, making aromatherapy a lovely companion to deep relaxation.

Tiari’s heart is deeply rooted in these more subtle arts of yoga. She has such a beautiful way of creating space for students to slow down, listen inwardly and experience yoga beyond the physical practice.

A new month means a new Flow of the Month!

Throughout August we’ll be exploring full body balance, building stability through both our legs and our arms. Expect fun transitions along the way to keep the practice playful and flowing.

As we move into Leo season, we’ll also be introducing Lion’s Breath (Simhasana Pranayama), a breathing practice that encourages confidence, energy, and self-expression.

Our peak pose this month is Crow Pose. The same flow will be explored throughout August, giving your body and mind the chance to become familiar with the movement.

Week by week, we’ll build the strength, confidence, and technique needed to work towards the pose in a way that feels natural and supported. Whether it’s your first time trying Crow or you’re looking to refine it, this month’s flow is designed for everyone.

I can’t wait to flow with you this August!

See you on the mat,
Coni

🌑 Tonight | 7:00pm | New Moon Yin Yoga with Mel

This week’s Yin Yoga practice is inspired by the gentle wisdom of the Cancer New Moon.

Cancer is symbolised by the crab, a creature that carries its home wherever it goes. Beneath its protective shell is a soft, tender centre, reminding us that true strength isn’t about building thicker walls. It’s about creating a safe home within ourselves.

Together we’ll explore what it means to cultivate that inner refuge. A place we can return to no matter what is happening around us. Through long held yin postures, mindful stillness and gentle philosophy, we’ll use this New Moon as a time to plant intentions rooted in self compassion, emotional nourishment and deep belonging.

There are some themes that seem to arrive exactly when we need them, i feel like this might be one of those themes.

This week & next in my classes we’ll be exploring a series inspired by something many of us know all too well, the tendency to overthink, over manage, over control and spend so much of our lives in “doing” that we forget how to simply be.

We will be visiting

✨ Beyond the Controlling Self

Recognising the patterns of constant doing, striving and fixing, and remembering the freedom that comes from simply being.

✨ The Wisdom Beneath Control

Looking beneath our need to control with compassion, discovering that our protective patterns are often just trying to help us feel safe.

✨ Living from Trust

Learning how to loosen our grip, embrace uncertainty, and move through life with greater openness, presence and ease.

While these classes flow beautifully together as a journey and we will dive a little deeper into these over a couple of classes, each class is completely stand alone. If you can only make one class you’ll still receive a complete practice and teaching. There is no need to attend them all to benefit.

Yin yoga offers us such a beautiful opportunity to pause, to step out of the noise of everyday life and reconnect with the quieter, wiser part of ourselves that already knows how to rest, trust and simply be.

Whether you’re joining me for one class or all, I hope you’ll leave feeling a little lighter, a little more spacious and a little less convinced that you have to hold the whole world together.
