A reminder that we will not have any classes tomorrow (4 Oct) and will resume our classes on Thursday, 6 Oct, at 6pm.
Congratulations to Yonatan Ayzelman for his selection for the Cadets World Championships.
This is Yonatan's first international selection, after winning by Ippon all his fights and finishing with the Gold in all the National Events to date this year (Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, and Nationals).

2022 Judo National Championships have been concluded over the long weekend.
After 2 years away due to Covid, Victoria was finally able to participate at the championships this year.
Judokan sent 5 players:
Junior boys, -46Kg: Jamie Mayer - 5th
Senior boys, -60Kg: Adam Shkoulev - Gold
Cadet men, -50Kg: Yonatan Ayzelman - Gold
Cadet men, -55Kg: Yonatan Anshtein - Bronze
Cadet women, -63Kg: Abigail Mayer - Silver
In addition, Jamie and Adam participated in their respective Teams competition, finishing with Silver medals for each team.

We will be back on the mat on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 February 2022, at 6pm for the junior group, and 7pm for the older group.
There are a few tournaments in the coming months, with the major ones being the Melbourne International Judo Open in March, State Titles in May, and the National Championships in June in the Gold Coast.
For those who wish to compete at the National Championships, please get in touch for the minimum requirements to qualify.

After 3 months of lockdown, we are getting ready to go back on the mat. We will be back on Thursday, 4 Nov, at 6pm. Classes are as usual on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Coincidently, today is , marking ​Kanō Jigorō's 161st Birthday.

With the restrictions easing from tomorrow night, we will resume our classes from Tuesday, 16 June and through school holidays until the end of term 3.
The only restrictions we have is that we are not allowed to have any spectators in the hall and all althletes must sign in on the paper form or the QR code.
Classes are further postponed due to the extension of the current restrictions.
We will be back before long, stronger and better.
