This is me. Taken on Saturday morning before I headed to the gym, only my second time that week. One of the first selfies I’ve taken since becoming a mum 4 months ago.
This is my new body. The body that carried my baby for 9 months. The body that fought through incredible sickness during those 9 months. The body that managed two maybe three workouts in the whole 9 months. The body that changed to grow my baby and then also to birth him. This is the body I’m learning to love and appreciate.
I think I speak for a lot of mum’s, it’s hard to learn to love this new body from the weight gain to the stretch marks to the leaking b***s. But something I want to start promoting is love and appreciation. Not everyday is going to be good, we have to learn how to find the good in everyday ❤️

Piece of advice / guidance I received 💭
It took 9 months of small changes to grow your baby. It took 9 months for your belly to grow, body to adapt and make it the home for your baby.
During childbirth, you go from a big belly with a baby inside to a belly without a baby. It changes within a few minutes.
So you can’t expect your body to bounce back quickly. Expecting to your body to go back to ‘pre-baby’ within a few weeks is not fair. I am now trying my best to change my mindset to further appreciate my body and what it has done. I have just over a year to go until my wedding, it’s time to work slowly to improve and strengthen this body again 💪🏻 My pre baby body wasn’t built in 2 weeks that’s for sure. It’s time to love, nurture and work 🙌🏼 Starting fresh has never felt so good 😊

I’m back! But this page is changing for the foreseeable future. New Journey - Postpartum
They say that pregnancy is the hardest part, which I mean they aren’t wrong. My biggest hurdle right now is learning how to love and appreciate my ‘new’ body. It has been the hardest 8 weeks of looking in the mirror.
I appreciate that this body grew my son & kept me healthy during my pregnancy. I appreciate that I’m able to move it without pain and that it gave me the ability to give birth the way I wanted to without any complications.
But I am struggling hard with this new look. I got stretch marks that cover my stomach. Never did I have these before pregnancy. I have loose skin and the mum ‘pouch’. I’ve never had loose skin before, I’ve been very blessed with the body I had pre pregnancy.
This week brought a new start on my journey back to loving myself. I signed up to the gym again and I tackled my anxiety about going back in. And I’m beginning to change how I see myself and how I talk to myself. The way this body looks will not look like this forever ✌️

Wow, 27 weeks of growing my little love bug 🐞
It’s been a long few weeks that’s for sure.
But I have been struggling to really get out of my own head. My depression is at an all time high and I feel like other mums could relate to the fact that pregnancy is incredibly isolating. I’ve found that it’s been really hard to reach out for help as it makes me feel ‘useless’.
In saying this, this week I reached out and went to see my psychologist. I now have activities in place to get myself out of this deep depression before my little man makes his appearance 🤰🏼I know that things will always get better, just have to continue to work at them ❤️

Life has definitely changed since I last posted on here 😍 2022 is the year where life gets exciting!
Some big changes are coming my way in 2022!
I’m having a baby with my partner in crime, we found out that it’s a little boy & we can’t wait for him to be earthside with us ❤️
With being pregnant, it’s definitely thrown me. The whole of January I was sick. I caught covid and ended up in hospital twice with dehydration. That’s the most unwell I’ve been since I was a child. I truly have the best support system as my fiancé made sure that I received the help I needed. I’m finally healthy again and slowly building my strength back up 💪🏻
Another new and exciting path is I’m expanding my knowledge for my business! Looking at furthering my knowledge in different training styles and aspects to give the best to my clients! Also best way to keep myself preoccupied while I’m growing a little human 🥰
And finally adjusting some things within my gym that I’ll be excited to share with you all soon ❤️
