With just over a week to go, and the school holidays underway, NSW Athletics' skills clinic registrations are filling fast. Whether you want to focus on your track speed or refining your jumping and throwing technique for the upcoming athletics season or improving your sprinting speed for your current sport, this clinic has four Level 2 & 3 NSW Athletics Development Officers visiting Orange to help you achieve your goals!
Held at Waratah Sports Club on Friday 17th July, 8.30am - 3pm, this clinic is all about building skills and learning the right technique from the start. Coaches will make sure everyone has a fun and enjoyable experience while focusing on the fundamentals that help athletes improve. The program is tailored to athletes 8 - 16 years old.
Whether you are a beginner or at a state level, good technique is the key to improving your performance. The day is focused on the following sessions:
8 – 11yrs
Speed Agility
Long Jump
Shot Put
12 – 16yrs
Speed Agility
Triple Jump / Long Jump
Javelin

ITLAS Education Course - for anyone aged over 14
We invite all age managers, parent helpers, aspiring or current youth coaches, and PE teachers to take advantage of this professional development opportunity and contribute to the continued growth and success of athletics within their community.
We are pleased to offer a complimentary course designed to provide participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to coach, officiate, or volunteer at local Athletics Clubs and School Carnivals.
This course is an excellent opportunity to build confidence, enhance your understanding of athletics events, and contribute positively to the development of young athletes within your community.

Day 1 & 2 Update from Nationals.
Our club congratulates Alyssa, Nick, Bonnie, Lucy and Lara on their participation in the 2026 Australian Athletics Junior (Under Age) Championships in Brisbane, where they competed against the nation's top athletes.
Top 10 finishes were achieved by:
⭐️Bonnie Venner 9th U15 Heptathlon
⭐️Lara Hooper🥉U14 Long Jump
⭐️Mila Staniforth 8th fastest time in U14 200m heats
⭐️Lucy Jurd 3rd fastest time in U17 800m heats.
We wish Mila and Lucy continued success in their upcoming finals and extend our support to all athletes competing over the next few days.

While our Senior athletes are busy preparing for the 2026 Australian Athletics Championships, our littlest athletes have wrapped up their season in style at the NSW State Track & Field Championships in Sydney.
A huge congratulations to the 13 athletes who proudly represented our club — Aviya, Clancy, Clem, Eleanor, Felix, Harry, Jackson, Jacob, Kinga, Lilly, Reggie, Sophie and Zoe.
For many, this was their first time debuting on the state stage, and every athlete delivered outstanding performances, achieving personal bests, podium finishes, and multiple top‑10 results.
Medal highlights include:
🥇Harry — Triple Jump (U11)
🥈Aviya — Discus (Para 11-12s)
🥉Aviya — Shot Put, 100m & 200m (Para 11-12s)
Top 10 finishes:
Aviya — 4th 400m (Para 11-12s)
Harry — 4th Long Jump (U11)
Jacob — 8th 400m & 800m (U12)
Sophie — 5th 800m, 9th 400m (U10)
We are incredibly proud of the effort, determination, and sportsmanship shown by all of our athletes throughout the season. What a fantastic way to finish the summer — the future of our club is looking very bright!
