Blue Heelers had a dance featured at the strictly cloggers online social last night! First time ever and people seemed to like it. This routine written by one of our teachers that we danced in class back when restrictions weren't a thing. Take care, stay safe and look after your friends and family :)
Blue Heeler Cloggers
Clogging is a traditional style of dance originating from the Appalachian Mountains. Similar to tap, it is mixed with Line Dancing and is open to all ages.
Blue Heeler Cloggers has just turned 7 years old. So we thought we might do a party at home since there's no classes this year to celebrate our journey as we learned how to do clogging from the beginning. Helen is going to put a dance list together and do a fun dance at home for 1 on the weekend which we will post here and in the ACA group. We'll do 10 or so on the list (which is 7 years old plus 3 teachers). Watch this space for more info! š„³
Blue Heelers is now finished for 2020. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control we won't be returning in 2021. We will try to do a few one-off events to keep our skills but regular class is not going to resume. We wish all our clogging family happy holidays and look forward to maybe seeing you at an event somewhere in the New Year.
Blue Heelers Christmas Party - Wednesday 16th December 6.30pm. BYO food/drink which won't be shared. We'll do some dancing and then picnic outside with our snacks. This will be our final night of clogging for the year.
Come dressed up for Christmas and we'll have a great night!
On this day 2 years ago we were doing Appalachian Square Dancing at the Granny Smith Festival in Sydney! How time flies!
Night 1 was a success, 8 in attendance. Did some basics which came back to us. Next week will be even better now that we've dusted off the cobwebs!
Who's excited to be dancing again this evening?? We are!!! See you at 6.30pm!
Before we go back tomorrow night please take a moment to review our Covid safety plan, available on our website. Looking forward to dancing again, class starts at 6.30pm!
Hi Blue Heeler Cloggers! Exciting news that we are going to be back dancing this term starting Wednesday 14th October at 6.30pm. We will be operating with COVID restrictions as follows: disinfecting surfaces we touch (done at pack up time), temperature checks on entry, if you're sick or have sick family members you will not be able to attend class, sanitise hands on entry, no congregating outside the hall, keeping our distance of 1.5m inside, please bring a mask of your choice to class (we may have to give this up if dancing with them on is too hard), term fees will be reduced as we'll use whatever was leftover from term 1 fees. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again, if you have any questions about things get in touch with myself, Graeme or Shelby. Happy clogging and we'll see you in a few weeks for Term 4!!!
