A little garden in Illawong that we created a few years ago, and it’s looking more beautiful as it matures. 🌿

One of the gorgeous succulents here is Kalanchoe ‘Oak Leaf’. I love using it for its soft silver-grey foliage — it brings beautiful texture and colour contrast into the garden.

It’s also incredibly easy to look after, preferring well-draining soil and plenty of sun.

A beautiful plant for adding texture without adding too much maintenance. 👌🏻

Strobilanthes gossypinus, also known as Persian Shield — a stunning decorative plant with beautiful silvery, star-shaped foliage. Perfect for adding colour and contrast to the garden. One of my personal favourites!

Zamia furfuracea, also known as the Cardboard Palm, is such a beautiful textural plant with an architectural shape that instantly adds interest to the garden.

It tolerates full sun, grows beautifully in tropical-style gardens and also looks amazing combined with succulents and dry garden plantings.

Definitely one of my favourite plants for adding texture, contrast and structure into the garden 💚

Three years ago, I designed this front garden for a property in Illawong, Sutherland Shire, NSW

Now, three years later, it’s so nice to see how beautifully everything has established and filled out. We continue to maintain this garden once a month, and honestly, this is the best part — watching the garden mature and come to life over time.
