A devilish short par-3, the 15th is classic Sandbelt golf. During his visit to Commonwealth, used an 8-iron, a wedge and a putter here to escape with par in a north-westerly breeze. For Peter, our General Manager, it's usually a 6-iron and, hopefully, a birdie putt in similar conditions. How do you play it?

A bold par 5 with fairway bunkering that cuts diagonally across the line of play, the strategy on the 13th hole is clear: challenge the right-to-left angle to shorten the hole, or bail left and face a longer, trickier approach.

The longest of Commonwealth’s par 3s, the 7th may look inviting from the tee, but don’t be deceived. A back-left pin demands respect — the perched shelf can quickly turn an ambitious birdie attempt into a bogey.
