The Rats are proud to announce that Steve Nikitaras will be joining us as a Coach this season 🐀🐀🐀

Steve has a tremendous cricket background playing first class cricket for both NSW and WA as well as Middlesex in the English County Championship. He captained Greece in the European T20 Championship. Steve has a long career in Sydney Grade Cricket particularly with the Penrith CC and last season was the bowling coach at St George DCC.

Steve is keen to help continue the rebuild of the OFCC program that has been underway in recent seasons. He is particularly looking forward to working with the wealth of junior talent entering our senior ranks to mentor them into high quality cricketers of the future.

Preseason training will begin on Sunday 2nd August, 10am at Geoff Shaw Oval. All current players (male and female) and any juniors looking to play grade are encouraged to attend. New players looking for a fresh start or an opportunity to further develop their game are also welcome to come along and join in the fun.

What a fantastic day these kids had at our Winter Development Program today. Plenty of cricket and smiles, sausages and laughs. Huge thanks to Grant Tilling, Dan Bunt, Rhys Tanner, Sam Huetter, Finn Carberry and Jaxon Moran for their work with strength and conditioning, and training. Following on from the announcement of the new Board at last night's AGM, the incoming Board would like to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible work of last year's Board members, and in particular long serving President, Ryan Chatterton. Chatts has dedicated a huge amount of his time for more than 10 years serving as President of this great club. He served during some particularly difficult times in that tenure and managed to keep the club afloat. He has been a huge part of its thriving resurgence with his knowledge of cricket, the club and his unrivalled IT skills and the Rats are eternally thankful. Thank you to Emily and Will for sharing him with us so generously. This is not goodbye, we know he will be still be around and involved and called upon regularly. He plans to continue coaching and being our resident IT guru, though he deserves a well earned break. Can of coke for you, good sir.
