๐ Celebrating 10 Years of SUDU Dragon Boat Club ๐ฅณ
Ten years ago, a small group of paddlers came together with a shared vision. What began as a dream has grown into a club built on friendship, teamwork, resilience and countless unforgettable memories.๐
Today we celebrate not only our achievements on the water, but the incredible people who have made SUDU what it is, our founding members, past and current paddlers, coaches, sweeps, volunteers, families and supporters. ๐บ๐ซถ๐ป
Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey over the past decade. Hereโs to the next 10 years of paddling together. ๐ ๐ถ๐จ
Happy 10th Birthday, SUDU! ๐ ๐ฅณ
Whatโs your favourite SUDU memory? Weโd love to hear it in the comments. ๐

What a fantastic morning on the water!A big thank you to Far South Coast Paddlers for the warm welcome and putting on a great morningโs racing. Our SUDU crew had an awesome day enjoying the racing, the camaraderie, and the chance to once again paddle alongside our good friends from Nature Coast Dragon Boat Club. These events are what dragon boating is all about, great people, plenty of laughs, and some quality paddling. Looking forward to doing it again soon! ๐ ๐ถ๐จ

๐บ What a fantastic day for our SUDU paddlers at the Nowra Regatta last Saturday. Huge congratulations to Nowra Waterdragons for hosting such a well organised and enjoyable event ๐๐ผ The feedback from everyone was the same, great racing, great atmosphere and plenty of fun all day long. ๐คฉ
A special shout out to our SUDU women, Karen, who stroked her first regatta and Rhonda, Angela, Julie and Sharon, who all teamed up with Nature Coast Dragon Boat Club and Merimbula Water Dragons Inc to come away with a gold and a silver medal. Also well done to our men, Greg and Tony, who paddled with Mako Paddle Club and brought home 2 gold and a silver. Outstanding effort by all involved.๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
Thanks again to the organisers, volunteers and supporters who made the day such a success. Weโre already looking forward to the next one. ๐๐ซถ๐ป

What a gorgeous Motherโs Day morning on the water today ๐๐ถ
Perfect conditions, great energy and plenty of hard work mixed with plenty of laughs. It was especially nice to share the session with some of the wonderful mums in our SUDU family, Karen, Nicole, Melissa and Julie.
Dragon boating is more than just training and racing. Itโs about community, friendship and the people who make our club what it is. Our paddling mums are a big part of that. Their support, encouragement and commitment help make SUDU such a special place to be. ๐ซถ๐ป
Wishing all the amazing mums, grandmothers and mother figures throughout our SUDU community a very happy Motherโs Day. We hope you all had a fantastic day with family and friends ๐

Weโre very grateful for this support. Thank you Anna Watson MP - Member for Shellharbour and the NSW Office of Sport for helping us upgrade our gym and support our paddlers ๐๐ผ๐๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
I was very happy to attend SUDU Dragon Boat Club this morning to present a cheque for $3,500 to support the upgrade of their club gym. ๐๐ฃโโ๏ธ
This funding has been delivered through the NSW Office of Sport Local Sport Grant Program, which is all about strengthening grassroots sport and creating more opportunities for people to stay active across our community.
Upgrades like this help clubs like SUDU continue to grow by improving their facilities, supporting their members, and making their space more accessible and inclusive for people of all ages and abilities.
Itโs fantastic to see this investment supporting such a passionate and dedicated local club. Congratulations to everyone at SUDU Dragon Boats, I look forward to seeing the positive impact this upgrade will have!

Today, SUDU honours and remembers all who gave their lives in service to our nation.
We also acknowledge the veterans and those who continue to serve, including members of our own paddling community.
Their sacrifice is not forgotten.
Lest we forget ๐บ ๐

A fantastic day for the NSW Southern Region crews at AusChamps State Day.
๐ฅ Gold โ Womenโs and Menโs 1km Turns (Combined Times)
๐ฅ Silver โ Mixed 500m
๐ฅ Bronze โ Womenโs 500m
SUDU was proudly represented by five members, Steve, Karen, Inez, Neil and Kerry. Neil swept, Inez drummed, everyone paddled, and Inez and Kerry also paddled with Invictus veterans. ๐บ
For a small club we are very proud to have such strong representation at rep level. It only happens because of the members who turn up each week and put the work in together. ๐ช๐ผ๐
Representative paddling is a fantastic experience and we encourage anyone interested to have a go. The camaraderie within the NSW Southern Region team is something special, and along the way weโve made lasting friendships. ๐ซถ๐ป๐
Well done to everyone who raced and represented NSW at AusChamps. And in case youโre wondering, NSW won State Day. Whooo hoooo!! ๐๐ผ ๐ช๐ผ๐
