A fantastic performance from the Oak Flats Kraken Women All Ages on Sunday, securing a convincing 5-2 victory over University of Wollongong FC.

The girls came out firing, taking control early and showing great teamwork, determination and attacking football throughout the match. Despite Uni finding the net twice in the second half from a penalty and a free kick, the Kraken remained composed and finished strongly to claim all three points.

Today our Kraken Women’s O30’s White team took on Albion Park White Eagles. While the final score was 9-0 in favour of the White Eagles, the scoreline doesn’t tell the full story of the determination shown by our team 🤍 💙

Kraken never gave up, and continued to work hard and support each other throughout the match. One of the most pleasing aspects of the game was seeing the improvement in passing, communication and confidence, which continues to grow week after week and was evident on the field today.

Congrats to our Player of the Match, Sarah, who put in a tremendous effort in defence and worked tirelessly against a strong attacking side 🥳 Thanks to Paulo Viana for the ongoing support and encouragement during the game, and all the family and friends who came to watch ⚽️🤍

Well done to Albion Park White Eagles on the win, and well done to our Kraken team for continuing to build, improve and show great resilience every week!

Women’s O30’s White Team Match🤍💙

Our Women’s O30’s White Team travelled to Gerringong today for a fun match against the Breakers. The conditions certainly kept everyone on their toes, with a hot first half giving way to heavy rain and much cooler temperatures after the break.

Gerringong came away with a 4-0 victory, but our team continued to work hard throughout the game and never stopped competing despite the changing conditions.

🏅 Player of the Match went to June, whose defensive efforts were outstanding. June worked tirelessly at the back, showing great determination throughout the match.

Thank you to Gerringong Breakers for a competitive and spirited game, and a huge thank you to Kristen Lee for stepping up last minute to guide and support us from start to finish! 👏🏼

To top off the day, the team headed to Lakeview Hotel after the match to cheer on the Socceroos in their opening World Cup game – a great way to finish a day of football 💚💛

Kraken rises from the depths and sends Phoenix back to the ashes after doing the double in the League.

⚽Women’s O30’s White Team ⚽

Our Women’s O30’s White Team have plenty to celebrate after securing their first win of the season 🥳 defeating Albion Park Green 2-1 in a fantastic team performance.

Our ladies took a 1-0 lead into half-time but Albion Park responded with an early goal in the second half to level the scores. Our ladies remained determined and their hard work paid off with a second goal that proved to be the winner, sealing a well-deserved victory.

Congratulations to Cherie and Ash for getting on the scoresheet, and a special mention to Tracey, who earned Player of the Match honours. Tracey was outstanding in defence, showing great composure and determination throughout the game.

A big thank you to ladies at Albion Park for a competitive match played in a positive spirit. It was a great contest and a wonderful way for our team to record their first win of the season.

Our Kraken Women’s O30’s White team took on Figtree FC O30’s Lightning in a competitive and respectful match this weekend.

Figtree came away with a 5–0 win, with all goals scored in the second half, but the scoreline certainly didn’t reflect the effort and contest out on the field. The game was played in great spirit by both teams, with plenty of determination, teamwork and respect shown throughout.

Oak Flats Kraken Player of the Match went to Morgan Kate for her strong work on the wing, showing great control and skill throughout the game ⚽️

A big shoutout to Figtree Football Club after playing both of their women’s teams over the past fortnight. They’ve been incredibly respectful opponents who create a fun, challenging and positive environment to play in.
