🏀 TERM 4 BASKETBALL - REGISTRATIONS ARE OPEN! 🏀

Tuesday night basketball is back at Euroa Secondary College for Term 4 - and we’re excited about what we’re aiming to offer this season!

Everyone in the Strathbogie region or neighbouring towns are welcome!

Pending registrations and numbers, we’re hoping to run:

🏀 3 junior levels, graded by age + skill
🏀 A separate seniors women’s competition
🏀 A separate seniors men’s competition

Our goal is simple: create competitive, enjoyable basketball where players are matched at the right level. Final grades and competitions will depend on the registrations we receive - so if you’re keen, get your name in!

Juniors: We’ll hold grading sessions before the season to help us create balanced teams and levels.

Women: Never played before, or not sure if basketball is for you? We’ll also be running a FREE Try It Out afternoon before registrations close. Comment 👋 if you may be interested. No experience needed!

💰 $80 Juniors | $85 Seniors + Basketball Victoria fees (approx. $35 if you’re not currently a BV member)

🏀 Week 3 of Winter Warmup!

Our Junior Jumpers are in full flight, building confidence and learning the fundamentals of basketball — and having plenty of fun along the way!

Our Winter Warmup crew are building on their skills each week, working on movement around the court and our core basketball “vitamins” — passing, shooting and dribbling.

This week we’ve also introduced new activities focused on spacing — learning how to move without the ball, find space and work together as a team.

Lots of learning, lots of energy and some great basketball being played! 🏀🙌

🏀 COACH THE COACH PROGRAM 🏀

What a fantastic turnout! 🙌 It was so great to see so many motivated coaches and volunteers coming together with a passion for helping our young players grow and develop.

The session focused on building coaching skills, creating positive experiences for young players, developing basketball skills, encouraging teamwork, confidence and, most importantly, helping kids fall in love with the game! 🏀❤️

A huge thank you to The Bucket Centre for sharing your knowledge, and to everyone who came along, got involved and shared their enthusiasm. It’s fantastic to see so many people committed to supporting the next generation of basketballers!

Great coaches help create great players — but even better, they help create confident kids and great teammates. 👏🏀

🏀 Winter Warm Up & Junior Jumpers are now FULL! 🏀

We’re thrilled by the incredible response to both our Winter Warm Up and Junior Jumpers programs. Seeing so many young athletes eager to get on court and develop their skills is exactly why we run these programs, and it gives our committee even more motivation to keep growing opportunities for junior basketball in Euroa.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing updates and photos as our athletes continue to learn and improve. We can’t wait to see the confidence and skills they’ve developed carry into the upcoming domestic season.

🏀 COACH THE COACH with EBA and The Bucket Centre! 🏀

Whether you’re an experienced coach, helping out with a junior team, or thinking about coaching for the first time, this session is for you.

The Euroa Basketball Association, in partnership with The Bucket Centre, is proud to present a FREE Coach the Coach session led by Matt Bartlett (The Bucket Centre) and Josh Waight (Lead Hub Coach, North East Region at Basketball Victoria).

Matt and Josh bring a wealth of experience developing players and coaches across community, representative and high-performance basketball. This practical session will provide coaching ideas, drills and teaching strategies that you can immediately take back to your own team.

🏀 Winter Warm Up & Junior Jumpers are underway! 🏀

Today we held the first of six sessions for our Winter Warm Up and Junior Jumpers programs. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces back on court, along with plenty of new ones joining the Euroa Basketball community.

Our Junior Jumpers quickly learned the phrase of the day: “Pass and move!” 👏

Meanwhile, our Winter Warmup players discovered that if you can shoot straight… you get to make your coaches run laps! 😅🏃‍♂️

A huge thank you to Matt and Liam from The Bucket Centre, along with our incredible volunteer coaches - Mel, Tim, Justin, Luis, and Riley. These programs simply wouldn’t happen without the time, energy and passion they give to our young players.

We’re already looking forward to next Sunday!

Our Winter Warm Up program is back for 2026, helping young basketballers build confidence, improve their skills and get ready for the next season with coaches from The Bucket Centre and the Euroa Basketball Association.

🏀 6 weeks of skill development
👦👧 Ages born 2014–2018

📅 Sundays, 2 August – 13 September (no session on Father's Day), 2.30pm - 4pm
🎁 $90 for the whole program, and includes a T-shirt!
