✨3 - 4.30pm Sunday October 25✨
Join Kelly from Sound Bath | Sound Healing | Reiki | Wellness Studio Melbourne and Jo for this unique event that will have you floating in an aerial hammock, bathed in a harmonic symphony of sound vibrations.
🌿 Head to Jo Stewart bio for more information and bookings.
🌱The resonant sounds of Singing Bowls can inspire easeful meditation and deep relaxation and many people find it easier to relax and meditate in the soft cocoon of the aerial hammock.
🌸We are delighted to combine these beautiful practices into one immersive experience. Jo helps you get comfortable sitting and laying in the aerial hammock while Kelly creates a soundscape using the Singing Bowls, gongs and other acoustic instruments for your enjoyment and peace of mind.
🌻 No previous aerial yoga experience or flexibility required, our goal is that everyone feels comfortable and supported in their practice, there will be space for gentle movement as you need, and support from Jo so that you can have the most relaxing experience possible. This workshop is trauma informed and neurodiversity friendly.
Accessibility note: Please be aware studio access is via a narrow walkway and up 3 steps, we are unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Thank you Jean Noonan for this wonderful review!!
This was exactly my goal for my book, Eight Limbs of Aerial Yoga: Adapting Practice for Accessibility, Neurodiversity Diversity and Physical Support.

Sharing (with Yogic intention) how the aerial hammock can be helpful and supportive prop to help more people access the practice of yoga, and even make the philosophical aspects of this practice more accessible.

Reviews like this help more people find my book (and make my day!) if you’ve enjoyed reading Eight Limbs of Aerial Yoga I would be super grateful and appreciative if you were inspired to write one!
This review is on Good Reads which is a great option if you are avoiding a certain online bookstore/global empire 😉

Eight Limbs of Aerial Yoga is published by Singing Dragon head to the link in my bio to learn more about it 💕

Monday 7.20pm is now Aerial Yoga Active!
A fun and energetic class with a strength building focus.

This class is a great option for adventurous movers with some aerial yoga experience or an established movement practice like yoga or pilates.

The pace is a bit quicker than our other classes, and we explore more complex sequences. You’ll get the most out this class if you are already comfortable with the foundations of aerial yoga. As with all our classes there’s options so everyone can work at that the level of intensity that feels appropriate but the vibe is a bit more active, energetic and inversion focused than our other classes. Scroll through to see some of the moves we might do.

If you are working with any injuries, brand new to aerial yoga, or returning to movement after a long break we recommend easing in with a beginners or restorative session first.

Please feel free to reach out if you’re wondering if this is the right class for you, or head to the schedule link in my bio to book in!

Your sensory experience is important to us - so we keep our aerial hammocks fresh!
🌱 Our aerial hammocks are washed regularly and sanitized with an ethanol sanitizer and rested after every use. Nobody likes a stinky hammock!
🌈 If you are a member here you get a hammock designated for your own personal use with a name tag - and you can choose a the color you vibe with from our collection.
🌿 We don’t use incense or essential oils in the studio and have lots of plants and a HEPA filter to help keep the air fresh.
🌻 We also have hammock safe stim toys by JoelleFidgets - help yourself from a selection on the drinks trolley!
🪷 Aerial yoga can make many aspects of the practice of Pratyahara (self withdrawal or navigating your relationship to your senses) more accessible and we were here to help support that.

Will this be the year I get to eat some homegrown figs?
Or will my Possum Friends eat them all?
Only time will tell…
Please note: I am much too lazy to add a net and I love the possums and love to see them living their best lives in my garden so I’m happy to take a chance on this but I am excited to maybe eat some figs 😉

Thank you Awyn Raven for this great goodreads review!
🌱 If anyone has read and enjoyed my book I would really, really appreciate a review 💗
🌿 Your recommendation will help more people find my book, and help it stand out from all the AI generated books out there (especially on amazon!) and I plan to go back and read these when I’m having a ‘feeling insecure about my book’ day 😉
Thanks Awyn Raven this totally made my day 💖

Tune in on Tuesday at 12pm AEST for an Instagram live chat with Jo Jo Stewart and Silky Ashe Wellness

🌿 We’re talking about how the aerial hammock can make the physical, emotional and even spiritual benefits of yoga more accessible to diverse bodies and neurodivergent brains.
Aerial yoga gives us unique ways to work with sensory processing, the vestibular system and the nervous system, but also some unique challenges especially for people who are hyper mobile or have POTS.

🌻 Silky’s mission is to help her fellow spoonies, spicies, bendy baddies and the general population find more energy, peace and relief in your daily life!
As a neurodivergent person living with chronic illness, her teaching is informed by lived experience and a deep respect for the body’s changing needs. She was drawn to aerial yoga for the fluidity and freedom of movement the hammock provides, as well as the soothing, meditative experience of being cocooned.

🌸 Jo has been teaching aerial yoga since 2011 and is the author of Eight Limbs of Aerial Yoga: Adapting Practice for Accessibility, Neurodiversity and Physical Support, published by Singing Dragon and the founder of Garden of Yoga.
She is the founder of Garden of Yoga and is passionate about sharing yoga that helps people feel good in their bodies and grow in their own way.

🌱 Silky has a Beginners Aerial Yoga Workshop coming on Saturday October 10 - if you’ve curious about aerial yoga, or have questions about whether it might be right for you feel free to DM me!
While this is a topic we are both passionate about, we want to make it interesting and relevant for you too!
