North Queensland Touch Football

In just over a week's time, we will have the NQ Senior Championships held in Townsville at Queens Park.

This historical NQ event returns for the first time since 2019 with 18 teams from across 5 affiliates.

Are your kids looking for some more touch football practice? We have a Queensland Touch Football Discovery & Development Academy coming to Townsville on the 12th of September 2026!

🟢 Discovery Academy (Ages 6–11) | 9:00am – 10:30am

Kids will have fun exploring the game of touch football in a supportive and engaging environment.

🔵 Development Academy (Ages 11–16) | 11:00am – 12:30pm
Kids will build on their skills and learn key techniques to take their game to the next level.

All registered participants will receive a QTF Academy Cap - whether your child is just starting out or looking to sharpen their skills, this academy offers something for everyone!

With 50 teams from 23 schools and 176 games across two days, the NQ All Schools event was a great success!

🏉 TOUCH FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY IN CLONCURRY! 🏉

North Queensland Touch Football is excited to see our Game Development Officer, Rhys Bevan, heading to Cloncurry next week to deliver a series of development sessions for players, coaches and referees.

Whether you're looking to build your coaching confidence, gain your referee accreditation, or help young players develop their skills, there's something for everyone across the three sessions at Eddie Lee Fields.

These sessions are a fantastic opportunity to strengthen touch football in regional communities, develop local knowledge, and connect with others who are passionate about the game.

A big thank you to Cloncurry Touch Football and Cloncurry State School P-12 for supporting this initiative. We encourage anyone interested to register their interest and get involved!
