How well does the flotant work?
Does it last all day?
Or need to be reapplied after an hour or?
How is it applied?
Which flotant do you recommend?
Sorry for all of the questions, just sick of my line sinking as the session continues.

I'm using Dr Slick’s Bug Jelly. Lasts for several trips. Note that I use braid from the float to the reel? Guessing the floatant sticks much better to that, than it would to mono.

Lachlan White and Kane Ardiri with a 70 kg thresher shark that they caught off Barwon Heads.

Hope Island IV. Catch one of these and get a fire going. Cut the fillets into matchbox size cubes, and give them 30 seconds either side. Add black pepper. Wash down with Bundaberg Liqueur. A jelly snake in the bottle is a nice touch. Lie back on the warm sand, light up a cigar, and watch the sun set over the coast.

Hellraiser 2 moored at Cooktown next to our tinny late last year (?) The decky was an American from Ocean City, Maryland. I have an antique Ocean City reel so that was a conversation starter 😊 They had a client aboard and I asked where they'd been fishing, assuming for granders up Lizard Island way. ‘Just a quick run 70 miles east, got a big yellowfin.’ It's 30 miles to the Coral Sea.
Me: Why did you go so far? We saw lots of yellowfin just off Ribbon #4.
He: The East Australian Current always fishes better on the eastern side.
