Western Women's Order of Merit Update

The race for Western Women's Order of Merit honours is continuing to build, with valuable points still to be added from Boulia, Richmond, Mackay, Rowes Bay and Pioneer Valley. With so many results yet to be included, every grade remains wide open.

Adding extra incentive, the Order of Merit winners will earn the opportunity to represent the West in the GNQ District team at Royal Pines on the Gold Coast. For many of our western players, it will be a chance to experience a championship venue featuring lush fairways and playing conditions that are very different from those encountered across much of outback Queensland.

A Grade

Kelly Carter from Hughenden has established a handy lead, but there is still plenty of golf to be played before the final positions are decided.

The battle for B Grade honours is shaping as one of the closest contests, with only 120 points separating the top three players.

East Coast Women's Order of Merit Update

The East Coast Women's Order of Merit race is entering the business end of the season, with several players establishing strong leads. However, there are still plenty of points to be awarded with results from Boulia, Mackay, Rowes Bay and Pioneer Valley yet to be added, meaning the standings could change significantly in the coming weeks.

A Grade

Georgia Ritchie from Tropics continues to set the pace, holding a healthy lead over Townsville's Chloe Armstrong. Renata Armstrong remains firmly in contention in third place.

Geraldine Cockburn leads a highly competitive B Grade leaderboard, but Debbie Searle and Paula Place are keeping the pressure on with valuable points still to come.

A Grade The Lenton brothers from Winton continue to dominate the standings, with Adrian holding a narrow lead over Brendan in what is shaping up as one of the closest contests of the season.

With only three Open events remaining in the 2026 season at Richmond, Ayr and Pioneer Valley, the race for Order of Merit honours is well and truly on. Please note that results from the Boulia Open are still to be added, which could have a significant impact on the standings.

A Grade The battle at the top could not be any closer, with Craig O'Keeffe from Home Hill and Jamie Campbell from Tropics locked together on 1,060 points. Mackay's Colin Carvolth remains within striking distance on 1,023 points.

The stage is set for an exciting final round of the GNQ Senior Masters at Mackay Golf Club.

Following some outstanding scoring in Round 1, all divisions remain wide open with plenty of players still in contention. Players are reminded to check their Round 2 tee times and be ready for a great day of competition.

It’s a fantastic start at Mackay Golf Club, with a record field of 117 players taking to the course! 👏

🌦️ There are a few rain showers predicted, but that won’t stop what promises to be some great golf over the coming days.

🏌️ GNQ Senior Open - Record Field in Mackay!

The excitement is building with a record field set to tee it up at Mackay Golf Club for the 2026 GNQ Senior Open.

The draw is now available and we are down to just 8 spots remaining, so if you are still thinking about playing, now is the time to secure your place.

A few reminders for players:

✅ Your GGID will not be active until Monday morning when the competition goes live.

✅ Tuesday will be an 8:00am shotgun start.

✅ Breakfast will be available for purchase at Mackay Golf Club on both Monday and Tuesday mornings.

There are now only a small number of spots remaining for the GNQ Senior Open at Mackay Golf Club on Monday 31 August and Tuesday 1 September 2026.
