𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗛𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗗𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗥 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧

We are pleased to announce the appointment of a new National Technical Director for the Association.

SCOTT GILLIGAN comes to us with a long history in the sport as a player, coach and instructor over the last 35 years.

Scott was a member of the National Futsal team in the late 1980's and then progressed to coaching ranks, first in NSW and then as National Women's Coach and later National Men's coach. He has been head coach of the FFA Australian team as well as the New Zealand national team as late as 2020. Scott has delivered coaching courses and advice to many nations throughout the world on behalf of FIFA and is still a recognized FIFA instructor of futsal throughout the world.

In his role Scott will develop AFA coaching courses, drive the technical development of the sport and be there to give advice to all. Besides Carrying out national roles Scott will also be based at Brendale Centre in Brisbane North, giving North Coast region a long awaited full time coaching director. For North Coast he will be responsible for the development of local academies and coaches as well as Head Coach of North Coast teams for tournaments.
