SailTime Australia

Ever wondered what it's actually like to step aboard a SailTime yacht?

We're exhibiting at Sail Expo 2026, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October, 10am to 4pm at Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club, Newport, with Seahorse, our Dufour 41, on the marina.

Come and talk to myself and the team about how our sailing memberships work: an equity-free monthly membership that gets you out on a professionally maintained yacht, with a two day induction included and no boat to buy.

We operate across Pittwater, Middle Harbour, Sydney Harbour and Port Stephens, with our fifth base, at Sandringham Yacht Club on Port Phillip Bay, opening soon in Melbourne.

Entry and parking are free, with a complimentary tender running from nearby Pittwater wharves.

Full details about the day are on the the RPAYC site - https://rpayc.com.au/sail-expo/

And details about our membership program the affordable way to sail are here on our website: https://www.sailtimeaustralia.com.au/membership

Sail Expo is now less than three weeks away, and in this post, I want to highlight an opportunity to anyone seriously looking at buying a yacht this spring, new or secondhand.

Before you commit to full ownership, it's worth understanding the alternative.

A beautiful Du Four 41 is the latest addition to our fleet through SailTime Australia's Owner Investor Program, you buy the boat, and we manage it professionally: bookings, maintenance, and a roster of members whose fees help offset your running costs. You still use and enjoy your own yacht - you just don't carry the full weight of it alone.

I'll be on the marina at Sail Expo, Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club, Newport, on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October.

If boat ownership is on your mind, come and find me, I'd genuinely like to talk it through with you.

Ever thought sailing wasn't possible for you? Sail Expo might change your mind.

In just under four weeks, we'll be exhibiting at Sail Expo 2026 - Australia's biggest Yacht Sail Expo of the year at Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club, Newport, with one of the yachts from our SailTime Australia fleet on the marina.

If sailing has always felt out of reach, financially or otherwise, come and chat with us and bring all your questions!

Our Founder and Chief Sailing Officer, Graham Raspass longed to get out on the water for years... and finally learned to sail at 48. Not long after he discovered the SailTime membership model that gets you out on your local waterways regularly without having to charter once in a blue moon, buy an entire boat or even a share - just a monthly membership opens the door and he knew he wanted to bring SailTime to Australia.

Come and find us on the marina on 17 and 18 October in Newport - we'd love to show you how you can stop dreaming and start sailing now!

Twilight racing season is nearly here, and it's one of the best perks of SailTime membership.

Currawong will be racing out of the CYCA in Rushcutters Bay on Wednesday nights. Horizon 3 will be at Middle Harbour Yacht Club on Thursdays. And Eirini races out of Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club in Newport, also on Thursdays.

Members are always invited to crew, whatever your experience level and we often enjoy dinners and drinks after the races.

We'll say it again - you can stop dreaming and start sailing now as a SailTime Australia member!

Have you ever dreamed about getting out on the water regularly with clients, family, and friends, but dismissed the idea as a bit of a pipe dream because of the cost?

That's how Mark felt before discovering our SailTime Australia Membership Program.

No equity needed to "buy a piece of the boat", no arduous multi-year commitment, no trying to find a suitable mooring, just time on your local waters in a beautifully maintained yacht.

Mark said it best:

"We thought about boating for years, but the high upfront costs and ongoing maintenance always held us back. Sailtime turned out to be the perfect solution.

It gives us plenty of time on the water at a reasonable cost, without many of the stresses and responsibilities that often come with boat ownership.

If, like us, you’ve been thinking about getting out on the water but have been hesitant to take the plunge, Sailtime is a great place to start. You’ll quickly work out whether full boat ownership is right for you, while gaining valuable experience and confidence on the water along the way".

Find out more about membership at one of our bases - Sydney Harbour, Middle Harbour, Pittwater, Port Stephens, and from October, Sandringham in Port Phillip Bay.

You can stop dreaming and start sailing now!

Become a SailTime Base Owner in Victoria
SailTime Australia is expanding and is looking for the right person to establish and operate a new base at a marina in Melbourne’s south-east.

Founded in Australia in 2009, SailTime offers a proven marine business model that provides access to quality yachts and powerboats to members who want to enjoy regular boating, without the full cost and complexity of ownership.

Unlike a seasonal charter operation, a SailTime base generates recurring income through committed members who pay regular fees throughout the year.

As a SailTime Base Owner, you’ll benefit from:
• Long-term recurring membership income
• An exclusive operating territory
• Initial training and ongoing support
• Proprietary scheduling and management systems
• Established operating procedures and programs
• Marketing tools and resources
• The credibility of an international network with more than 30 North American locations

The Victorian base already has its first Owner-Investor in place, with a new Dufour 41 to go sailing.

This opportunity could complement an existing marine business or become a rewarding standalone lifestyle business for someone with commercial drive, strong relationship skills and a genuine passion for boating.

SailTime’s purpose is to make boating more affordable and hassle-free, introduce more people to life on the water and create pathways towards future boat ownership.

If you’re looking for a proven marine business opportunity with recurring revenue and significant growth potential, becoming SailTime’s Victorian Base Owner is well worth exploring.

SailTime Australia is expanding to Melbourne

Exciting news — We have just secured a beautiful Dufour 41, which will join the SailTime fleet and allow us to open our first Melbourne base from September / October this year.

This is a major milestone as SailTime Australia expands from four locations to five, bringing our membership-based sailing program to Victoria for the first time.

The Dufour 41 will be available for memberships, offering Melbourne sailors the opportunity to enjoy regular access to a luxury monohull yacht for a simple flat monthly fee — without the cost, complexity and hassle of traditional boat ownership.

Congratulations to the new owners of the Dufour 41. We are delighted to welcome them to the SailTime Owner Investor Program.

We expect strong demand, so expressions of interest are now open for those who would like to become founding members of SailTime Melbourne.
