🏆 What an incredible weekend for Lilla at the Brisbane Short Course Championships!
The club would like to recognise Lilla’s outstanding performances, where she broke two Australian Age Records on Saturday.
🥇 50m Breaststroke – 30.45
Breaking Samantha Marshall’s 2008 Australian record of 31.31.
🥇 100m Breaststroke – 1:05.50
Breaking Samantha Marshall’s 2009 Australian record of 1:06.36.
Both swims also established new Brisbane 16 Years and Open records.
Lilla capped off an extraordinary championship with an impressive medal haul of:
🥇 8 Gold
🥈 4 Silver
🥉 2 Bronze
Competing across both the 16 Years and Open events, this was a truly remarkable performance.

Coach Steve and Lilla have recently returned from an incredible 10-day training camp at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Canberra. Lilla also had the opportunity to compete against Australia’s Next Wave swimmers in a day of high-quality racing.
A huge congratulations to Coco and Caitlyn, who were selected for the 2026 Next Wave Invitational Competition Camp, held from 3-9 July at the AIS.
The Next Wave Invitational is Swimming Australia’s premier national age-group development camp, bringing together the country’s most promising young swimmers. It provides athletes and coaches with elite racing, team, and national program experiences, helping prepare them for future representative opportunities.
Congratulations to Lilla, Coco, Caitlyn, and Coach Steve on this fantastic achievement. We’re so proud to see our Racers representing the club on the national stage! 💚💙

Good luck to Coco as she represents Australia at the 2026 Oceania Swimming Championships in Fiji! 🇫🇯
Coco and 9 other athletes were chosen to be a part of the development squad brimming with Brisbane 2032 potential and will contest the Championships as part of Swimming Australia’s NextGen special project program.
The Oceania Swimming Championships will run from May 8-13, with the opening and closing days featuring open water events while the pool events will take place from May 9-12 at the Damodar City Aquatic Centre in Suva, Fiji.
With 15 nations under the Oceania regional umbrella, including close-competitor New Zealand, the Championships provide an opportunity for swimmers to race an international field and experience performance preparation while travelling.
