Got a little baller born in 2020 or 2021? Come and join the fun with Blue Jays Basketball Club! 💙💛

📅 Starts Saturday 10 October
🏀 9 weeks of games (usually around 8:00am to 8:30am start, TBC) at Broadmeadow
⭐ 2 Sunday skills sessions included
👕 Club singlet provided
🤝 All welcome

The Under 7s program is designed to be fun, inclusive and development-focused. Each session includes a skills clinic followed by exciting 3v3 games, giving young players the perfect introduction to basketball.

💰 Cost: $135 program fee + $66 annual Basketball NSW membership

Whether your child is picking up a basketball for the first time or already loves the game, we’d love to have them on the court with us!

🏀💙 A season to be proud of for our 12 Boys Elevate and 12 Boys Edge teams!

While their finals campaigns came to an end before reaching the Grand Final, both teams have every reason to hold their heads high.

Making the finals is an achievement in itself, and throughout the season these players showed determination, resilience, teamwork and heart. In two hard-fought contests, the narrow margins highlighted just how deserving they were of their place in the finals and how fiercely they competed until the final whistle.

Most importantly, they left everything on the court. That effort, commitment and willingness to battle for every possession is something the entire club is incredibly proud of.

Congratulations to all players, coaches and families on a fantastic season.

What an outstanding achievement for our club. We couldn’t be prouder of these players, coaches and support crews. This success is a testament to the hard work, grit, camaraderie and commitment shown throughout the season.

The job isn’t done yet, but what an incredible result to celebrate. We can’t wait to see these teams take to the court and give it everything they’ve got next week.

“I’m so proud of each and every one of the girls and how they all bring their own specialty to our team which makes it click and work. They all have so much passion, fight and strength and I just couldn’t be prouder!”

After being scheduled on the main court tonight, the team delivered their first win!

Coincidence? Maybe.

Main character energy? Absolutely.

So proud of this group for showing up, backing each other, having a laugh and finally getting the result we knew was coming.

💙UNDER 9s TERM 4 BASKETBALL – LET’S GO, LITTLE JAYS! 🏀

✨ Got a kiddo born in 2018 or 2019 who’s ready to bounce into Term 4 with big energy?

Our U9s Boys & Girls program is all about fun, friends and learning the game in a super supportive club vibe. Games are Thursday afternoons after school — perfect for burning off that end‑of‑day energy.

We’ll form teams, get everyone set up, and make sure your child has an awesome comp full of confidence‑building moments, teamwork and plenty of smiles.

If they love running, shooting, high‑fives and being part of a great community, this is their season.

🏀💙 A huge thank you to Bunnings Wallsend, Bakers Delight Maryland and every single Blue Jays volunteer who helped make yesterday’s BBQ such a success.

It wasn’t just a fundraiser — it was a day that showed exactly what community looks like. We saw little ones with infectious enthusiasm bringing people in and creating a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere.

We saw players, parents and extended families sharing laughs, staying positive and genuinely enjoying each other’s company.

Volunteers gave their time and energy to cook snags, sell drinks and serve customers with care, respect and pride.

A group of teen girls brought joy and a second wind to the afternoon, reminding us how much fun this club can be.

New families blended seamlessly with long‑standing ones, showing how easily people become part of the Blue Jays family.

Yesterday was a reminder that even a modest BBQ for a small suburban club can become something special — a day full of connection, generosity and pride.

🏀 BLUE JAYS BASKETBALL BUNNINGS BBQ — THIS SUNDAY! 🌭🔥

Start planning your next DIY project and make Wallsend Bunnings your first stop this Sunday.

We’ll be there all day with the tongs, serving up traditional Bunnings sausage sandwiches to keep you fuelled while you kick off your weekend projects.

Every snag sold helps support our BlueJays community and keeps more kids on the court.
