Founded in 1967, Hamilton Hawks is one of the Hunter region’s premier clubs. Our mission is simple! We want rugby union to be a sport for all.
Hamilton Hawks Rugby Club want to encourage and support the participation of all ages in rugby, giving everyone the opportunity to try something new and fun. We also have a vision alongside Rugby Australia, to see more women and girls in rugby. We want to provide opportunities for female teams to be established across all levels. This Black Jersey Round, we wear black to stand together, break the stigma, and remind every player, volunteer, supporter and family member that it's okay not to be okay and it's okay to ask for help.
Mental health affects all of us.
In Australia:

🖤 Around 43% of Australians will experience a mental health disorder at some point in their lifetime.
Rugby is more than a game. It's a community. A family. And families look after each other.

Like many clubs across Australia, Hamilton Hawks Rugby Club has been deeply affected by mental health challenges.
We've lost mates. We've stood beside teammates through their darkest days. We've seen firsthand that mental health doesn't discriminate.
That's why it's time to break the stigma.
Join us for our Mental Health Awareness Luncheon as we launch our Mental Health Awareness Round a day to raise awareness, start important conversations, and remind everyone that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
This year, we're proud to support the message, encouraging everyone to check in on the people around them. A simple phone call or conversation could make all the difference.
