We’re just one week away from the 2026 AFL Masters National Carnival—and we cannot wait to welcome players, officials, volunteers, families and supporters from across Australia to Newcastle and Lake Macquarie!

The 2026 AFL Masters National Carnival is coming to Newcastle — and we’re looking for passionate footy people to join our Commentary Team! 🎧🏉

From 27 September – 3 October, players from across Australia will come together for one of the biggest events on the AFL Masters calendar — and you could have the best seat in the house.

📣 IMPORTANT GALA DINNER TICKET INFORMATION

Two weeks ago, AFL Masters confirmed final numbers with the venue for the 2026 National Carnival Gala Dinner, based on PlayHQ player registrations and additional tickets sold.

Under our venue agreement, AFL Masters has now incurred the cost for all 1,740 confirmed Gala Dinner tickets.

As a result, anyone who withdraws from the Carnival from this point forward will be unable to receive a refund for the $245 Gala Dinner component of their registration, regardless of the reason for their withdrawal.

Anyone no longer able to attend is encouraged to contact their State Delegate as soon as possible. Delegates may be able to assist with re-selling or reallocating the Gala Dinner ticket to help reduce the person’s out-of-pocket expense.
